About Amsterdam Village Hotel (former Hotel De Oude Taveerne)

Situated only 7 km away from Amsterdam Central train station, this hotel is situated in a monumental building from 1740 and offers free WiFi throughout and features a pier stretching into the Buiten-IJ. Each of the rooms at Hotel de Oude Taveerne features flat-screen cable-TV and tea and coffee making facilities. The hotel includes a spacious terrace garden. Guests can make use of the bicycle hire, tour desk and packed lunch service when exploring the local area. The restaurant serves Dutch cuisine with a French influence including fish and meat specialities from the grill. The restaurant has been decorated with nostalgic plaques and collectibles. It is 12 minutes by car to the Amsterdam ArenA and 7 minutes further to Schiphol Airport and Zaanse Schans. Historic Volendam and Marken are a 20-minutes' drive.

Le personnel est agréable, le cadre de l'hôtel est sympa.
Malgré la description de l'établissement, il est impossible de louer des vélos. L'accès en transport en commun est difficile depuis le centre ville d'Amsterdam et impossible de week-end. Le week-end, sans voiture il n'est donc pas possible de se déplacer et de retourner sur amsterdam.

Nooit weer!!!

Het uitzicht
Verder alles slecht. Kamer boven de kroeg wat zeer lawaaiig was. Eigenaar een onverzorgde, nare, personeel afblaffende man. Badkamer zo klein dat je alleen achteruit lopend op wc kon gaan plaats nemen. Ontbijt een aanfluiting met het goedkoopste van het goedkoopste op je bord. Verder ook geen keuze in wat je zou willen voor ontbijt. (Geen buffet) Eigenaar scheldt personeel uit aan de telefoon waar gasten bij zijn. Ontevreden gasten (Italianen in dit geval) worden met een kluitje in het riet gestuurd. Echt verschrikkelijk hotel. Nooit zo slecht mee gemaakt. Geen kwaliteit voor veel geld! NOOIT WEER!!!

Das Frühstück war gut, jeden morgen frisch zubereitet. Des Weiteren war die Lage des Hotels sehr idyllisch, allerdings weit außerhalb. Um in die Stadtmitte zu gelangen sollte man auf jeden Fall das P+R Angebot nutzen.

Schönes Hotel mit schönen Ausblick aber Mangehaftes Service

Das Hotelzimmer war sehr Sauber &schön.Die Lage Super nur minus Punkte gab es bei Sauberkeit im Restsurantbereich und teils bei der Servicekraft. Mercel der Barkeeper/Rezeptionist war echt spitze. Der Frühstück ist eine lachnummer(Tut mir leid) geschweißtes Brot nur eine Joghurtsorte(Erdbeer für alle) kurz gesagt:Es gab keine Auswahl.Die gegend ist aber sehr sehr schön.Das Restaurant ist nicht zu Empfehlen. Ich habe einen Cäsar Chickensalat bestellt was kam hat nichts mit CäsarSalat zu tun(2ganz kleine Hähnchen-Spiese mit 2Spargel).Nichtmal die Salatsöße war richtig.Das galt auch für Das Rindercappacio-eine Katastrophe!!! Fazit: Zimmern&Lage 1A,Essen -3 ,Service -2

Arrived at 10.00 am to be told we could not check in until 3.00 we arrived back at 1.30 to be told by the manager the room was ready and there was no reason why we could not check in were the staff being awkward or just don't know what they are doing. Not good enough

Die Lage ist etwas ausserhalb aber sehr schon. Das urigen Restaurant überzeugt mit leckerem Essen und dem Blick auf das Markermeer.
Die Zimmer sind etwas düster und die Ausstattung ist alt/abgenutzt.

Área tranquila con buen wifi y buen trato del camarero en el desayuno.
3 kms andando para llegar, sin transporte público. Nada más llegar Recepcionista no nos recibe con una sonrisa excepto para reírse de nosotros, explica mal como llegar a la habitación y después no nos acompaña. Según entramos (sistema de llaves funciona mal) mesilla de la entrada con una capa de polvo que representa lo que limpian, desayuno no es buffet, te traen un continental y ya está. Arañas en el techo del restaurante pero lo PEOR LA UBICACIÓN.

Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Meer. Park&Ride ist nicht so weit weg, Fahradweg geht direkt am Hotel vorbei.
Das Hotel liegt ca. 8 km von Amsterdam entfernt und am Wochenende gibt es wohl keine Busverbindung. Mit dem Fahrrad kommt man gut nach Amsterdam, auch gibt es in der Nähe einen Park&Ride Platz, mit sehr guter Verbindung bis spät in die Nacht. Das Frühstück war etwas einseitig.

Leuke locatie en goede uitvalsbasis om Amsterdam te bezoeken of te fietsen in de prachtige omgeving.

De locatie is leuk. Personeel aardig. Het ontbijt ruim voldoende.
De hygiëne, prullenbak zat nog vol van de vorige gasten en na 2 nachten na vermelden pas geleegd. In de tijd dat we daar verbleven (3 nachten) kregen we wel schone handdoeken maar werd er niets schoongemaakt of gestofzuigd.

The place is an old house and the room was pretty clean and warm. The breakfast was enough> coffee, three pieces of bread, som ham, some yogurt, some cheese and mermelade.
The place is pretty far, u have to take first a tram and then change for two buses but just till 7 pm and between monday to friday, because at bight and on weekends u don't have the last bus and for get to the hotel u have to walk around 20 minutos (TERRIBLE COMUNNICATION). The taxi from the central train station could cost approx 24 euros. And for finishing my time there:They gave me a key for the entrance and it didn't work at all, i had to sleep in the middle of the cold street till 8 am in the next morning when they came back. They didn't discount me nothing for that!!!!

Frühstück und Essen war gut.Auch die Lage vom Hotel schön direkt am Wasser.
Zimmerservice geht gar nicht.Spinnen im Bad. Betten nicht gemacht Schmutzige Gläser nicht abgeräumt. Öffentliche Verkehrsanbindung nach Amsterdam ab18 Uhr und am Wochenende gar nicht möglich.

Das Personal sehr unfreundlich. Das Frühstück war eine Katastrophe (Ungenießbar).Für den Parkplatz 15,00€ die Nacht. Auch das Essen im Restaurant schlecht die Pommes kalt und fettig, der Hamburger kalt und schwarz.

GREAT Breakfast and it is included! Very old nice building...small room but well equiped. Super nice and helpfull staff!
New towels...we put them on the floor and they were put back on the rack. Crazy amount of spiders...not dangerous but creepy.

De taverne was heel charmant. alsof je even terug in de tijd keerde met al die oude spulletjes die her en der opgesteld zijn. Ook de locatie aan het meer was schitterend. Het ontbijt was verzorgd.
Je geraakt er van op Schiphol niet meer met het openbaar vervoer na 19u. We moesten een taxi nemen en die kostte ons maar liefst €80! Toen we er om 21u arriveerde was de keuken gesloten. Het enige wat we nog konden krijgen was een portie bitterballen. Dan maar vroeg in bed, maar van slapen kwam er niet veel in huis op die hete zolderkamer waar tientallen kruisspinnen hun webben boven ons bed hadden gemaakt. Brrr.

Great building away from the hustle, bustle and noise of Amsterdam. Great private parking area since there is minimal parking on the street
Spiders! Lots of them, and well fed, they were in the room, in the shower, all over the property. We had to go spider hunting before sleeping or using the restrooms.
