Close to Tour De Farms

Room itself was in decent shape.
This place was a little wron down. Nothing major. Hallways had zero AC while it was 90 degrees outside. Our towels were old and stained in the bathroom. I know this is a lazy American one but our remote didn't work with our TV. When we wanted to check in there was nobody at the front desk for about 20 min.

outdated. no refrigerator, late of staff for service. waited over 1/2 hour to check in due to no one at desk, likewise during check out. they offered slight reduction in price.

Nice location, needs more attention to readiness

The building is appealing in appearance and is on the west edge of DeKalb where the highway traffic is less. It is close to Dunkin Donuts and Burger King.
I asked for a room away from the train tracks and was given one only a room away from the south end of the building, which is the location of the tracks. The first room I got when I checked in at 4 had not been cleaned, and the bed in the 2nd room (although in a better location) was hard.

Need sleep stay away!

Close to where I had meetings! WIFI availability!
Close to railroad that had high speed trains running by every morning about every half hour from 4 am till 9 am! I changed rooms to get better WIFY signal. The new room had a broken toilet paper holder which they could not fix over 4 days that I was there!

Customer service was okay. Receptionist was,very nice minus the owner he tried kicking my husband out of the,parking lot when we first got there due to us parking in parking lot if we were not customers of the hotel. While I was,inside checking out the room. Kind of weird if you ask me. No Refrigerator inside our room. Water was cold when I showered thank heavens I decided to not bath my children that morning. Beds and pillows were okay.. clean for the most,part. Couldn't use the,side door key to access the building coming inside. If you went out the side door you had to use a rock to prop open the door to make,sure you got back in.. train tracks right next to the,building I didn't hear the train when I was,sleeping but awake I heard everyone of them going by.. continental breakfast was piss poor if you ask me. Dried up fruit. Powdered creamer for the coffee which was,cold at 6 am when it opened.. the bread and donuts looked old and dry, their is a waffle maker but was,kind of worried to use it.. so needless to say I didn't feed my kids there either. So a three star they get

Our sheets were dirty the bathroom wasn't clean the commode wasn't even flushed. When I went to the front desk he showed me a different room. When I pulled down the covers those sheets were filthy also. He apologized and refunded our money gracefully. He was embarrassed.

When we first arrived, the room assignment was incorrect so they gave us a new room. At 1 in am an employee, tried to enter our room, without identifying himself, resulting in a police report. Due to their lack of proper management, the employee thought the previous occupants had overstayed their visit! Reason for entering our room, or so the employee stated? Very scary due to we had 3 teenage girls in the room and 2 moms. We were in Dekalb for cheer competition.

Only positive thing, was size of room and mirrors which we needed for girls.
Disgusting...very dirty. Had to clean with lysol and wipes. Bugs in towel, pizza on ceiling and fan, hair in sink, couldn't even sit on couch, phone and TV didn't work.

I would give them a 0 star if I could. I booked a room over a month in advance for the night of Oct 24th to stay after NIU's Homecoming festivities, and when I got there to check in, the lady at the check in counter told me that the room was cancelled. I asked her how that is even possible to which she replied it was 'Cancelled by the internet'... What does that even mean? and how the hell does it happen? The hotel was apparently completely booked. I had called the night before to see if I can do an early check-in and the gentleman who helped me on the phone was able to pull up my reservation. (I forgot to mention this detail in the Wyndam survey I just submitted because it slipped my mind) The lady then offered me a room. It was a suite. My original reservation cost was $80. So she offered me a suite which apparantly was $149 for $109 (the regular price for a room that day). There were 2 suites available. I was told that i have a choice of an uncleaned suite (The sheets and used towels from the last stay were still there and I was asked to change the sheets myself) for the $109 or I would have to pay the regular price for the clean suite. The reason that i booked so far in advance is because i knew that it was homecoming weekend and there would be no room availability. I am also cost conscious. For this being my first stay at a Wyndam location, this has been a terrible experience. I am leaving this review on Yelp and Google because I had no choice but to take the room for a higher price and walked into a suite that was not even cleaned. This experience is the worst stay I have ever had in a hotel before.

This hotel was HORRIBLE!!!!.....The keys to my room wouldn't work, the pool was disgusting and VERY outdated, the toilet barely flushed, the water pressure was low, my room phone wouldn't work, the light bulb blew out in the bathroom, I walked to the front desk THREE TIMES and after the third, I waited at the front desk and escorted someone up to my room in order for them to change it. I requested to see a manager only to be told that he would t be in til the morning, and now here I am at check ready to speak with a manager just for them to tell me he's not expected to be in til Monday! The staff here are so unprofessional. This was the WORST hotel I've ever stayed in! I wouldn't have given it one star but that was the only way I could come and leave comment! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

They lost the reservation and there were no rooms available. We were given fresh bedding and towels for a room that hadn't been cleaned, and charged more than the original reservation rate. But it was homecoming, so we didn't have a choice. Room was outdated, and there was paint splattered everywhere like no one covered anything the last time the room was painted. Just a very odd experience.

As a traveler for my whole life speedskating, one of the worst hotel expierences of my life. The sheets were dirty, there were left over food crumbs. Other rooms complained of lady bug infestation and poor toliet functions along with cold water with showets. Sorry, but not impressed with this hotel at all, and do not recogmend it to anyone in the Dekalb area especially on a saturday night when there is live music at the bar connected to it. The music echos the entire hotel and sleep is a joke right now. DONT waste any money staying here.

TERRIBLE, already checking in the place looked BAD. When we checked in we got a dirty room, trash everywhere! Our second room seemed decent, till we got a phone call. A man hadn't checked out and basically we slept under a man's dirty sheets... plus my we got bit by bed bugs the hour we were there.

So dissatisfied. Expensive and dirty. I am worried the room we are staying in was not cleaned properly. Peeling wallpaper. Broken lamp. Dirty toilet. Dirty ice bucket. Mold on ice machine.

very convenient and affordable my son plays hockey for niu and we live out of state we came in and our room was exactly how they said it would be. Clean , cozy and comfortable , the heated pool was certainly an added surprise and much used. We enjoyed our stay so much ,we book a room here everytime we go watch markus play ,only regret is we cant come here more often. Management,Staff and front desk very friendly and knowledgeable about surrounding area which only made our stay more enjoyable . I recommend this hotel to anyone who is thinking about staying here,book the room !
