Nestled in the hills of Limburg, the 15th century castle includes complimentary access to the spa and wellness centre for its guests. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en het ontbijt was heerlijk. Bovendien ook leuke locatie voor het ontbijt.
De kopjes op de kamer waren niet schoon, toen ik er thee uit dronk smaakte deze naar koffie... De badkamer was wel schoon maar, zoals je dat wel vaker ziet in hotels, waren de voegen verkleurd.

De drie nachten welke wij geboekt hadden vielen ons niet mee.

Prima ontbijt, ligging van het hotel.
matige kamer. Douchen in bad waar geen antislip aangebracht is! Dus gevaarlijk. Schimmel in de voegen. Onderkant van de badkamerdeur stuk. Kamer werd niet echt goed verzorgd en schoongemaakt tijdens ons verblijf. Dit is geen 4 sterren plus accommodatie die men pretendeert te zijn!

Fantastic restaurant staff, excellent fine dining, but no access to the main castle unfortunately.

Shortly after our arrival late evening, we went to the bar for a quick drink and was met with a grumpy barman. However, upon speaking with the restaurant manager, everything was cleared up and the rest of our stay and the service was absolutely impeccable. We dined at the restaurant on our second night and it was a very special evening with delightful service from the restaurant staff and amazing cuisine. Everything was absolutely perfect with very attentive staff. Highly recommended.
Many of the photos on the Booking.com listing are of inside of the main castle, and it even says that the hotel can organise tours of the main castle. We stayed for two nights and were told that we could not go into the castle at all due to an event. This is not clear on the website and one of the reasons I booked the hotel for me and my wife and drove three hours to get there was to see the wonderful castle and look around inside. Also, the indoor swimming pool is not heated. Not sure if that's the norm in the Netherlands, but worth bearing in mind if you like to go for a swim and prefer warm pools to cold pools.

Voor die prijs van het hotel zou ik het prettig vinden dat je als je wilt gaan wandelen je een wandelkaart mee kunt nemen en niet eentje moet kopen. Lenen is ook goed maar dat moet erbij zitten.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war super. Ließ keinen Wunsch übrig. Die Lage ist ruhig, aber trotzdem zentral. Große Zimmer.
Das Restaurant ist eine Zumutung. Für den Preis viel zu schlecht, keine Auswahl,... Es gibt nicht alles, was auf der Karte steht. Das müsste vorher gesagt werden. Betten zu weich. Insgesamt nicht besser als günstigere Hotels.

Mooie ligging, de kamer was prima, schoon en ruim.
Een heel massaal gebeuren. Volle warme eetzaal in andere locatie. Overal jassen, lange rijen. We zijn snel weggegaan zonder ontbijt. Housekeeping kwam twee keer plotseling binnen. Ze klopten aan de deur maar kwamen gelijk binnen. Wij komen niet nog eens naar dit hotel.

Der tolle Blick aus unserem Hotelzimmer auf die Mülltonnen.Toll war auch das wir keinen Tisch mehr im Restaurant bekommen haben (Großveranstaltung)
Das Frühstücksbuffet sah aus wie auf einem Schlachtfeld.Es wurde nichts nachgefüllt. Das Personal genervt, da wir einen kleinen Hund bei hatten. Check in ebenfalls sehr unfreundlich. Dieses Hotel hat nicht persönliches

Comfortable stay, but not much castle feel

The beds were very comfortable and the grounds were beautiful. Very clean. Good value if the spa and pool were open.
The swimming pool ad entire spa and wellness area were closed due to excessive chlorine in the pool. Very disappointed since that was the main reason we chose this hotel. Breakfast was ok, lots of bread but not much vegetable or cheese variety. The breakfast room was just in a modern extension of the castle (which is actually more like a mansion), so there wasn't any castle charm that we were hoping to see.

Personeel receptie is waardeloos. Bedden zijn te slecht. Naar buiten om te ontbijten. Ontbijtzaal is massaal. Te druk. Hotel ligt 150 meter van Landal-bungalow park.
