About Budget Dam Hotel

Dam Hotel offers simply-furnished budget rooms in the centre of Amsterdam, only 300 metres from Amsterdam Central Railway Station. It benefits from a 24-hour front desk and free Wi-Fi. The rooms at Dam Hotel come with flat-screen TV, wooden floors and a fan. They also have a safe and a private bathroom with a shower. Guests can visit one of the many restaurants or cafes nearby for breakfast. At the station there are tram, train and metro connections all over the city. Dam Hotel is a less than a 10-minute walk from the Kalverstraat shopping area. The Anne Frank House is a 15-minute walk away.

Please note that Budget Dam Hotel's reception is located on the first floor of 32 Damrak Street, in the building next to the hotel. This building offers 24/7 reception. Please note there is no elevator available and the reception is located on the first floor. Hotel will do pre-authorization for first night room rates to guarantee the reservation, this amount will unblock around 15 bank working days automatically. Please note that when a booking exceeds the total price of EUR 1000, the hotel will charge a non-refundable pre-payment of 10%. Please note that guests are requested to bring the credit card that was made to make the booking. If this is not possible, guests are required to bring a copy of the credit card with approval and a photo copy of the credit card holder ID card or passport.

NUMBER 1: THERE WAS MICE RUNNING AROUND THE WALLS NUMBER 2: THERE WAS MICE RUNNING AROUND OUT SIDE OUR ROOM I WALKED OUT THE FIRST MORNING AND SEEN ONE MEMBER OF STAFF STAND ON THE LIL MICE NUMBER 3: WENT AND SEEN 3 DEAD MICE ON THE SECOND DAY .. NUMBER 4:NO CHOICE OF SMOKING OR NON SMOKING ROOMS NUMBER 5:THE WHOLE PLACE JUST FELT DIRTY EVEN TO THE TOWELS THEY SMELT LIKE A BOTTLE OF BLEACH WAS USED TO WAS THEM NOT WATER... NUMBER 6: WE SPENT 450EURO TO STAY THERE AND FOR THE PRICE WE SPENT WE EXEPECTED ALOT BETTER

Great location next to the main train station.
The wifi didn't work My window was in front of restaurants roofs and the smell wasn't nice. Tiny room, single bed, but that's typical Europe low rates hotels standards. Elevators are available from the first floor.

Misschien maar goed dat het ontbijt ontbrak!!
Bezemkast van Harry Potter was groter (voor EUR 90 per nacht, ex belasting). Geen ontbijt (voor die prijs per nacht). Trap zéér hoog en gevaarlijk; vol met vlekken en vuiligheid (leek wel entree van onbewoonbaar verklaarde woning). M'n vingers plakten aan de trapleuning. Toiletbril bleef niet overeind staan. Slechts 1 handdoek, meer niet. Als ik niet 3 nachten reeds vooruit had betaald (EUR 270 ex belasting) had ik het hotel gelijk gillend verlaten.

Prix correct, très bon emplacement mais un peu délabré ! Recommandé pour faire la fête en dehors !

L'établissement est parfait pour un groupe d'amis car il est situé en plein centre ville à deux pas de tout !
Si vous êtes à cheval sur l'hygiène n'y allez pas mais ça reste un bon rapport qualité prix.

This place was indeed close to everything. My room was private, spartan, and tolerably tidy. One towel was provided, and the bed linens were made each day.
The area is extremely busy and noisy well into the night. Dam Hotel's main interiors are really shabby. My room -- probably the entire building -- was in desperate need of updating. There was no air conditioning, and the heat wave during my stay was too stifling to have my window closed. Anyone could just walk up into the rooms hall without being stopped by anyone, which made me nervous for the security of my room. I ended up finding alternate accommodations for half of my trip because staying there was just really unpleasant.

階段の前で躊躇していたら、下の店の店員さんが上までスーツケースを運んでくれたこと。助かりました。
ホテルのフロントまで急な階段を上がらなければならなかったこと。大きなスーツケースを抱えて、あの階段は- 無理です。
