Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Fantastic location with amazing views - our apartment No. 7 had air conditioning in bedroom & lots of windows which you could open in the day and was very nice. It was on the top floor - very peaceful. Shirley, the owner was extremely helpful and a lovely person. Staff friendly. Hotel very clean everywhere. Grand View had the only swimming pool on the island. Easy 15 minute walk into town down the hill.
Pillows rather hard. No toaster or kettle, but there was a microwave.

Really clean, spacious rooms, very helpful owner, tasty breakfast, hill position meant beautiful view and gentle breeze so no mosquitos, welcome swimming pool.
A kettle in the room to make ourselves an early morning coffee would have been great. 5 to 10 minute walk up hill from beach no problem but I did miss not being on beach for sound of sea and early swim.

Wonderful staff. Gorgeous views. Great pool to cool off in. Hotel is spotless. They are always cleaning.
Wifi unpredictable in certain rooms. Just meant going to lobby area if needed. Lobby sofa not comfortable. We walked to and from hotel all the time and it can be steep to do. But can easily take bus or taxi if you wish.

Indeed a great view over Hillsborough, its bay, and the island. Very friendly people and good service. Not the newest venue, of course, but you can feel the love and dedication of the owners and the staff. Everything was very clean and we had a great time. And Carriacou is of course a must-see if you are traveling this part of the Caribbean...

Beautiful setting - Lovely views from hotel - looking out to sea across nearby town of Hillsborough. The hotel was quiet so we were upgraded to an apartment ( room 8) which was more spacious - maybe because the proprietor knew that we wouldn't have the pool for half our stay ? - see next section! The views from our balcony were amazing. The proprietor - Shirley- was very obliging , friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated about a mile out of town - at the top of a hill - an arduous walk in the heat of the day but we found the local bus was great fun to travel on and a regular service so used it for getting back. The nearest restaurant to eat at night was "The Green Roof" which was excellent and only a short walk so it didn't matter that we had no where else to go locally at night.
Beds and pillows hard and shower was poor. No hot water available in mornings. It is advertised as having a restaurant and piano bar , neither of which is true. Meals are only provided on request and no bar open or anyone playing the Piano! Breakfast was very poor. No fruit/ fruit juice or cereals - the continental consisted of toasted sliced white bread / margarine and a small amount of nutmeg jelly ( no choice) with usual coffee / tea . We chose the hotel because of the swimming pool but unfortunately it was closed for maintainance on 2 of our 4 day stay. The hotel felt a little "tired" - in need of modernising / refurbishment.
