About Chromata

This exclusive hotel in Imerovigli, in Santorini, is set on the rim of the Caldera facing the sea and the volcano. It offers an infinity pool and rooms with private verandas with wonderful views of the sea. Chromata Hotel offers well-appointed rooms and suites with Queen size beds, iPod docking stations and verandas with Caldera views. The poolside cocktail bar and lounge restaurant serve refreshing drinks, sandwiches and fresh salads for lunch or dinner. Mediterranean Cuisine and a wide selection of Greek and International wines are available at CHROMA Upstyle Dining. The location is ideal to explore the island. The island’s capital Fira Town is only 20 minutes walk from the hotel. A great number of restaurants, shops and bars can be found nearby.

Amazing hotel!

The staff was wonderful and kind! Very helpful! The breakfast was delicious with great selection! Our room was very spacious, had stunning views and we could watch the sunset from our terrace! The pool area was the best and my favourite part of the hotel! I celebrated my birthday and the staff made sure I enjoyed my day! I loved it!

Nice cozy place in Santorini with the best views!

Staff and services were amazing. They go out of their way to serve & please you. Location and views from property were also fantastic. Breakfast buffet had a good variety of food and everything was very fresh.

Prices of in-room minibar, restaurant food/drinks and cocktails were on the high side.

Beautiful hotel at beautiful location and awesome staff

The location, the hotel and the view and the service was excellent. Specially nicholas and the guy who brought our luggage up and down were awesome, room service and the person who brought our breakfast for us were also excellent. It was as if we were living in a fairytale.

The wash basin was choking a little and there was no complemetary electric kettle for even hot water. Other than that everything was perfect.

A little piece of paradise

The service at the hotel was fantastic. We particularly enjoyed our a la carte breakfast on our terrace looking over the caldera every morning. Nicolas and the rest of the concierge/reception team couldn't have been more helpful. The infinity pool was just wonderful. A great place to relax.

Our terrace wasn't completely private. It was shared with another room. Fortunately the people staying in that room rarely used it, but otherwise we may have felt it wasn't as per our booking.

Uncomfortable - humid bedsheets, smell of chemicals, lots of small issues

- the rooms are very humid due to Jacuzzi baths inside the bedrooms. Our walls were literally wet in the morning and bedsheet humid, which was very unpleasant. Also it smells of chemicals inside. Not sure this is actually in line with H&S regulations - music played in the bar is very loud and heard in many rooms; also cigarette smoke can be felt in many places - staff is either outright rude (manager) or ignorant - other issues: rainshower did not work, no proper ironing boards provided, bathrobes are too small)

Real 5 star treatment and experience!

Its one of the most exclusive hotels i have ever been. They give personal care for each Guest and besides its a bit pricey, its worth every cent. Spent my honeymoon there and in the last day ive got a gift upgrade for a breathtaking room. When i return to santorini i wont think twice to get the same hotel.

The social pool its small but the main problem is that its very cold and we couldnt dare to enter. Also the social jacuzzi its with cold water as well . This didnt made my experience worse but its a feedback for them to be 110% perfect if they do this improvement.

This is a perfect hotel in an unbelievably beautiful location. The staff are so friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble for them. The views from the room terraces are incredible. Breakfast is an absolute treat, so much choice and beautifully presented, you have the option of having it served in your room at no extra cost which is a lovely touch. I cannot praise the hotel and staff highly enough.

La chambre est très humide. Pour cette catégorie d'hôtel on s'attend à beaucoup plus de confort, en particulier la literie. Les draps sont humides !

View and location are amazing. Breakfast and breakfast staff are great. Food is tasty, room service is prompt.

Front desk staff was not pro-active or oriented toward problem-solving. When escalating to the hotel manager, it took a bit of being interrupted and really having to assert myself to reach a positive outcome. It was not the service and response level that I expected from a hotel at this price point. The room we received as an upgrade had a much nicer outside area (with small pool included) than our original room. However, our original room had a better interior and much nicer bathroom than the upgraded room which the hotel manager claimed went for 1K USD a night. The room we were upgraded to is directly under the hotel's new sushi bar area. I seriously doubt any guest who paid 1K a night for that room would not be put off by that and the little grey flys in the bathroom. Hotel seems to coast on the view which is spectacular. The rest of the experience is very uneven- bounces from 3-4 stars. The main pool area is small as well and gets quite crowded - all chairs occupied by 10 am.
