Nice lobby.

Nice lobby.
Room next to the elevator, a little noisy. There was a serious plumbing/sewage problem and the place smelled like an outhouse. The manager was very apologetic but I will be calling Marriott. Also no complimentary breakfast. Not very nice for the money.

Online reservation didn't show up in the system at the hotel but the staff was able to get me in to a room with the same price.
I got charged by the hotel and the booking site.

The mattresses are filthy, with 4 large urine stains on the king mattress and 2 small blood stains on the pullout (see photos). The bath tub/shower is edged with orange mold. After using the pool and hot tub and showerings my skin itched for two nights, lots of chlorine in these tubs.

Arianna was SO helpful and made our stay the best I have ever experienced. The rooms were nice and there is nothing bad I could say about this place. Every hotel should hire someone like Arianna.

Very friendly staff with an eclectic environment suited for that off the beaten path hotel concept. Location is great within walking distance of many mainstream as well as not so mainstream eateries and bars. The decor is straight rock n roll. Very small but unique rooms. It was like being a rockstar on a budget. With the Berkshire Room attached for drinks and more it was a full service facility. If I had any cons to mention it would be something along the lines of too much noise too early in the morning in the hallways and the bed was so firm I woke up with bruised ribs..maybe I'm just a princess though haha.

An excellent staff. They treated us like family, It was so nice to wake up knowing that the breakfast would be excellent. Just a first class stay all the way around. And the beds were just terrific.

At 11:30 pm on our first night the fire alarms throughout the hotel went off. Everyone went outside for a while. The fire crew showed up, and tried to fix it. The alarms in our room and hallway didn't stop until 3:30 am. Hearing a fire alarm in your ear for 4 hours is awful. Nobody in the whole hotel got a good night's sleep. The part that makes me write this scathing review is that THEY REFUSED TO COMPENSATE US, WE WERE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR THE NIGHT!! Plus my coffee maker was dirty, and they cleaned my room even though I had the do not disturb sign up! We will never stay at a Marriot EVER again.

Only complaint was no continental breakfast. Otherwise, the rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. My other complaint would be the beds, they were way too comfortable. I could not get out of bed.

I forgot my swimming suit at the Courtyard and when I called back the gentleman at the desk ran up to my room and very cheerfully reported that he found it and asked what I wanted him to do with it. I made arrangements to have it picked up the next day. The service I received was exceptional and I look forward to staying here the next time I have a business trip in the area.

I added an unfriendly place to location because it was difficult to find at night. You have to use the access road of Hampden to get to the hotel. The access road is not lit very well. When you are driving west on the access road at night you will have headlights coming at you from the left AND from the right. (Think of Hampden as an mini-freeway.) If you have trouble seeing at night or at twilight make sure you arrive before dark.

Ok firstly let me just say I have stayed at a different hotel almost every night for the past two months and I was even in places like EL PASO, and this Courtyard Marriott was by far the worst place I stayed. The first room I went into reeked of mold, so my girlfriend and I were given free breakfast coupons (yay?). While we came down to switch rooms there were people having sex in the hot tub, wow so scumbag I can't even tell you how bad this place is. Then when we actually got our new room that didn't reek of mold, there was some sort of problem with someone locking themselves in their room and the Lakewood police department was all over the hotel. My girlfriend said she went to Whole foods a couple times and some creepy guy stared at her as she walked past the door and followed her with his eyes to her car. This place is just lowlife, scummy, people, but what else do you expect I guess, your paying for what you get, your staying at a Marriott, which sucks already, not to mention its a courtyard (there sad excuse for an economy solution. OH and by the way just a few more pointers. The location I don't know why people think is good because it's literally like 25 minutes of stoplights and insanely congested traffic to denver and no matter which direction you go from this place its so trafficy that you dont even really want to leave the hotel. And last but not least as of Friday, June 11th, there was so much construction at least 2 seconds away (your literally in a construction site) that you cannot sleep past 7. They literally start at 7 oclock with bouldozers and psycho construction within view of this horrible place. SAVE YOURSELF the money, save yourself some sleep, save yourself some venereal diseases, DONT go to this dirty, horridly located, dump. If your use to nice hotels, or even semi decent stuff, you will not like this place.
