Very nice b&b in a cosy neighbourhood

The location in Barranco was great, the small garden/patio, complete breakfast and the ambiance in the b&b.
There were a lot of changes in staff. that was a bit confusing (just a bit)...

Great place to stay!!!

Wonderful place to stay! The staff was so friendly and helpful. Very close walking distance to restaurants, bars, and coffee shops in Barranco area. Price was great. would definitely stay here again!

Great choice!

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the beds were comfy, the breakfast was yummy, and everything was clean and stylish.
Even though it's in a pretty little courtyard, it's off a busy street so there is some traffic noise. Hot water ran out after one shower.

Barranca is def the place to be but choose a quieter place with hot water.

We stayed 2 weeks to paddle and surf. The location worked well for those activities. It is also very close to the main square in Barraco where you can get great coffee at Tostaduria Bisetti cafe just a block away. There was also the ghastly Starbucks which we had twice in South America and were twice disappointed. Barranco has an inviting nightlife - very family orientated with lots of buskers to choose from for evening entertainment on the streets. Also great food and 'artesenal' icecreams. The buses are cheap and frequent but you have to hop on and off quickly - they don't wait for you to take your time! But best of all is the paddling with Inkanoa and the nearby surfing.
About the B&B, the staff are quite friendly but service in the kitchen can take most of the morning (I once waited 40 min for 1 fried egg and it takes 2 women to cook it), but hey... Some places don't even offer eggs! You can use the kitchen but the supplies are limited. In fact there is a fork shortage and at breakfast you eat with hor devour forks. As for noise...make sure you wear yourself during the day so that you are exhausted and can sleep thru anything! The sounds of car alarms going off was so constant that I was tempted to bash each car a bit as I walked past during the day just to hear them all go off at once and to make a point. Honestly car alarms in South America should be banned. We changed rooms on day 2 because our shower gave up any hope of putting out hot water. It was pure ice. The following room had water warm enough to shower in but not to linger. We were charged for bottled water which surprised me as I had specifically asked if it came gratis and was told yes. All in all the place was ok but at the very end I was disappointed when the receptionist (who up until the had been great)offered me a deal and said we could have our taxi transfer back to the airport free. Something about since we had stayed so long (and we had paid US$25 for the initial airport pickup). Brilliant. I was happy with the arrangement. Then I received a weird email from Booking.com cancelling the booking for the duration that I had just stayed. I wrote to them ticking the box to say it had been a mistake and we did not cancel. The receptionist then told me I needed to cancel so that they could be reimbursed somehow from Booking for the taxi. It all started to sound a bit dodgy. A few days later while at a different hotel another booking of mine had been cancelled and I wondered if the two incidents were related... I highly recommend Barranca but would find a quieter place.

Great value in great area!

Wonderful friendly staff, very helpful. Clean simple rooms, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, hot showers. Very nice breakfast with fresh juice, fruit, coffee, bread, and eggs cooked to order. Quiet neighborhoid just 2+ blocks from central plaza, restaurants, etc.

Alles was gewoon prima.

Not the best value.

The room was clean. The first staff person I met was great. The next one said she was going to book my taxi to the airport and never did. It created quite a panic for me and they had to scramble to get one. Barely made it to the airport for my check in.
6% added into the bill because I used a credit card. Didn't know this would happen until I was checking out! The room was more expensive than it was worth. Comparable places in the area were more than $20/night cheaper.

D'Osma B&B is ideally located for a visit to Lima. Restaurants, art galleries and museums are all nearby. Miraflores and Centro Lima can be easily reached by bus. A tasty breakfast is included.

Warm atmosphere, great place

Wonderful staff and location. Loved my room. My third trip to Peru. First time here and will definitely return.
Only change I would make would be to have bottled water for sale. (It's available a short distance away).

great location but no coffee?

the location was great and the place was super cozy and quaint
they didn't have coffee in the morning which for me is impossible to look past... also, we were always having to ask for towels as they were never placed in our room.
