Quiet pretty stay

Lovely renovated stable building very nicely finished by owner. Quiet spot within pretty village. Very near bakery - best vanilla slice ever. Hosts very friendly but not intrusive, treated us to farm fresh eggs from their own chooks 9/10

The Stables in Ross

5.00/5.0
Beautifully presented accommodation. Welcomed by owner. Breakfast provisions ample. Especially enjoyed the free range eggs. The hens were 'free ranging' outside. A short stroll up the road to antique shops, eateries and interesting places.

Really enjoyable stay.

4.80/5.0
The cottage is beautiful, the décor is lovely and the room is clean and quiet. The location is central and the owner had added fresh fruit, eggs, cereal and tea and coffee as well as all cooking facilities you would need.
The bed was too firm for me, but that is a personal thing - others may quite like a harder mattress.

I wouldn't recommend this place for accomodation

1.25/5.0
We had made our booking 3 days ahead of our visit and we got an email the morning of our arrival to say our room had been booked and that they had got busy and forgot to put no vacancy on the Internet. Being the long weekend in Hobart TAS. It was impossible to get a room in Hobart that night, we just kept driving until we found a bed for the night. All the man could say was I am terrible sorry. We have had a wonderful time in TAS except for this incident. I wouldn't recommend this place for tourists who intend to travel to Ross.

Everything about this place was better than expected. Two great rooms with lots of facilities inc food for breakfast in the morning. The location is right in the middle of this historic town and just a short walk to the Pub for an evening meal

The owner is really kind and the lovely dog, Charlie. It is comfortable and clean. Also, it is close to the ross bakery, around 2 mins walk and 5-8 mins walk to ross bridge.

A very good unit for 3 or 4 days stay.

4.40/5.0
The property is very comfortable and works well for a short stay. The town of Ross has reasonable access to many parts of Tasmania. The town itself has a significant history associated with the convict settlements in Tasmania.
The property ad states that there is a washing machine in the unit. There is the plumbing for a machine but no machine (there is a tumble dryer in the unit). Kitchen preparation surfaces are limited.

Best stay in Tassie

5.00/5.0
The owner was so friendly, he even delivered my toilet bag to our hotel in Launceston the following day when I left it behind. We were given fresh eggs from his chooks for brekky, given advice on eating and sight seeing. The Stables have been done up beautifully, decor is tasteful and kitchen well equipped.
That we only stayed 1 night

Delightful

5.00/5.0
Beautifully and tastefully appointed accommodation, "rescued" old stables at Ross. Very friendly and helpful owners. The farm fresh eggs provided for breakfast were delicious! We enjoyed our too short stay in this lovely peaceful spot. We thoroughly recommend this delightful apartment, and would love to return some time.
