About Hampshire Hotel - Eden Amsterdam

Situated in the heart of the city centre, Hampshire Hotel – Eden Amsterdam offers warm-coloured rooms and free WiFi. The famous Rembrandt Square is right around the corner. The central station is 10 minutes away by tram. City exploration starts right on the hotel’s doorstep, since a ticket service is offered. Within 20 minutes walking distance one will reach the famous Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The Jewish Historical Museum is 400 metres away. Starting at 1977 the hotel has been expanding its buildings one at a time and connecting them together, hence the maze of corridors to each room and not one room being the same as the other. Some rooms overlook the characteristic canals, lift-up bridges and passing boats. The private bathroom comes with complimentary toiletries. A flat-screen TV is available. French Brasserie FLO serves quality meals and is open for dinner daily. Lunch can be enjoyed from Monday to Friday. Drinks and light snacks are available at the hotel's Bar 36 Black. Quite a good location. Quick check in.
Very expensive for what it had to offer - no breakfast in base price, no minibar in the room, nothing special in the bathroom. Noisy.

Brilliant location...think a refurb is needed

The bed itself was very comfortable and the view of the canal was stunning, especially at night. He location was very ideal, everything within walking distance but away from all the lively parts so you could sleep easily. The staff very friendly and helpful.
I did find the bathroom very cramped and mould in the shower. I also noticed stained curtains and peeling paint from the walls. The price was a bit expensive for the room but I wouldn't say extortionate.

Really good location. Had a room overlooking the canal so couldn't of asked for a better view
The room didn't look or feel that clean. The carpet and duvet had marks on and the bathroom wasn't very clean at all. The door to the bathroom wasn't private enough, it didn't fit! There was an inch gap on the top and bottom and it had actually been designed this way!

I only stayed one night but the staff that I had contact with were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. The concierge was great and willing to help out with maps and directions, I'd definitely stay here again.

Internet speed and connectivity was an issue, stayed there twice and both rooms were the same even if they were in different wings of the hotel

El bar no funcionaba. Habitaciones en rehabilitación, lo que originaba ruidos y molestias en la nuestra. La limpieza fue deficiente. No se paso el aspirador por la moqueta ninguno de los días que estuvimos

Gute Lage, alles fußläufig erreichbar, Frühstück in Ordnung
Wände sehr dünn, auch den übernächsten schnarchenden Nachbarn hört man noch ohne Anstrengung. Personal eher mittelfreundlich. Keine Parkplätze in der Nähe (außer für 30-48 € täglich) Deswegen lieber mit P+R und dann mit dem Zug bzw. Straßenbahn weiter. Diese Info wäre sinnvoll. Auch die Parkplätzte außerhalb kosten 24€ täglich

Quick customer service response! Upgrade of room on arrival was a bonus. No problem was too much of an issue. Immaculately clean. Comfortable beds. Location is very practical for nightlife although when in your room you can not hear anything.
Travelled as male and female friends and had a see-through shower screen which was visible from the bedroom area. Twin bedroom was also more like a double bed (we did not feel the need to complain over this as we personally didn't mind too much, however would be an issue if travelling with somebody who isn't such a close friend).

Good hotel in an excellent location!

For the price we paid (360 euros/two people/three nights) the hotel was very good. The room was very nice and spacious, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The room was cleaned daily. The location was excellent and the concierge was super helpful. I wouldn't mind staying here again!
They were renovating so the lift was out of order but it didn't bother us because our room was on the 2nd floor.

Location of the hotel was very good with a good view from the window. the concierge was fantastic and knowledgeable. Bed was very big.
The room was not clean. We put the radiator on and where we turned the dial on, was filthy like it has never been cleaned. We had to wear socks as the carpet was awful. The bathroom was dirty with brown marks all over the walls and chipped paint. Lots of mould and grime. Ceiling was brown with stains. The shower was in the middle of the bath long ways but the shower glass was only 1\4 covering the bath that means all the water sprayed over the floor.

This was our 8th visit to Amsterdam, 4th to the Eden. We really like the location for access to restaurants etc. but disappointed with the hotel disruptions.
Room was very small especially compared to rooms either side of us. Apart from 18.95euros pp per night for breakfast, we were charged 7.5euros for tea-making facilites for the week (this was waived on checkout). The free toiletries consisted of hand wash and hair/shower gel. We were not advised on arrival upgrade work was in progress in the floor above our room. This was very much needed in our room.

Lage super, Zimmer sehr klein

Die Lage beim Rembrandt-Platz war ausgezeichnet.
Mein Einzelzimmer und das Bad waren sehr klein (Zimmer ca 8 qm), das Zimmer hatte nur ein Fenster auf einen relativ dunklen Lichtschacht. Das Fernsehbild war sehr griesig, der Mangel wurde trotz Reklamation nicht behoben.

The pillows were awful - flat and lumpy. There was only 1 mug in the room (two of us were staying in the room) and no spoons. There was also renovations going on during our stay and the lifts were slow and out of order a lot of the time.

the apartment is good, good view and more space in housing. Staff is very helpful to take our baggages to go up the 4th Floor by foot.
The stairs is very straight and narrow in upper level of apartment. Standard room is too small for 2 guests , it is impossible to open 2 luggages. No kettle, only 1 cup for 2 guests. Staff was unhappy when we requested to make change.Attitude is not good.
