About Hostal Sol y Miel

Hostal Sol y Miel is situated in Benalmádena-Costa, 800 metres from the beach. This guest house offers free high speed fiber optic WiFi and rooms with private bathrooms, flat-screen TV’s and DVD players. The Sol y Miel’s rooms feature simple décor. Older and overpriced Hostal with friendly staff.

Friendly staff in an older hostal. I had requested a view room with a bathtub. I ended up with neither.
I thought it was overpriced for the facilities it offered. It was noisy at night and the "view" that I was assured I was getting at check-in was the view of the side of an apartment building twenty metres away. I was charged fo two breakfasts which consisted of a piece of toast and coffee. The pate and jam containers were old and dirty. The location is okay if you want to shop in Arroro de Miel, but it is a €7 taxi fare to the beach. Much cheaper to take the train back to Torremolinos. In fact much cheaper to stay in Torremolinos in the first place.

All in all was good. Good for train station, bit of a slog for the beach. This place is in the centre of a medical hub with loads of practitioners in walking distance so could be good for medical tourism of a sort....
Noisy room neighbors one night, but that wasn't the hotel's fault

Lo mejor es el personal, muy amable y atento. Quizas solo les puedo reprochar que en booking me aseguraban la cama ancha de 130 que cuesta mas que la cama sencilla pero ellos me dieron la cama de 90. Menos mal que me dio por llamar y preguntar y enseguida lo corrigieron. Todo muy limpio.
Mucho calor en las habitaciones que dan a la parte de atrás del edificio por lo que hay que poner el aire acondicionado pero aqui viene el problema, solo si uno esta en la habitación puede activarlo porque las dos llaves van unidas. Esto puede deberse a una medida ecológica para no dejar el aire todo el dia puesto pero no es nada práctico. Luego el mobiliario muy decadente sobre todo el armario. Para una sola persona resulto algo caro con respecto a un apartamento. Para grupos ideal porque sale muy economico. Pidan habitaciones que den al paseo son las mejores creo yo.
