About Hotel Abaco Altea

This charming, traditional-style hotel is situated in the heart of the old town of Bellaguarda-Altea, just a 5-minute walk from the Costa Blanca seafront. The family-owned Hotel Abaco was originally built as a bakery in the 18th century. Nowadays, it offers cosy accommodation in its 10 individually decorated rooms, all with attractive, antique-style furnishings. There are shops, restaurants and bars located 5 minutes' walk from the Hotel Abaco. Near the hotel you can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking through the Sierra Bernia. You can also go canyoning, sailing, horse riding and scuba diving.

A lovely small hotel with individual rooms

A lovely personal touch from all the staff. They were friendly and informative. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Nice touch with coffee and cakes in the afternoon. Easy access to the old town.

This is THE hotel for a romantic stay!

Every room has it own interior and theme, small and cosy! Location is great; next to a tiny square and a couple of minutes walk up to the center of the old town or down to the beach. Breakfast is magnificent with scrambled eggs on request and freshly made orange juice. Quiet.

A most enjoyable stay

We received a warm welcome on our arrival. Everything about the hotel was explained and our case delivered to our room. The room was spotlessly clean and well presented.The recommendation for a place to eat that night was promptly booked and turned out to be one of the best meals we have had in Spain. The breakfast was excellent and comprehensive. We will be back for more next time we are in the area.
Nothing, I can't think of any improvements.

Trevlig hotellvistelse trots vissa missöden!

Frukosten var jättefin. Snygg inredning på hotellet. Läget, nära till allt. Trevlig atmostfär. Rent och fräscht. Mycket trevlig receptionist som var mycket behjälplig. Silvia tack!
Rummet var väldigt litet. Vi bodde där i en vecka. Vi hade dock en pytteliten balkong. Första dagen funkade inte AC:n, Tv och safetyboxen. Vi fick vänta flera timmar på att det skulle fixas. Dessutom funkade inte vår nyckel när vi gick hem på natten! Vi kom varken in på hotellet eller vårt rum! Vi fick ringa efter ägaren som kom och låste upp. Vi fick ingen kompensation för detta! Dessutom visade det sig när vi kom hem att hotellet dragit depositionen på 25% av priset två gånger! Det drog ner betyget väsentligt.

El personal encantador, principalmente Silvia que fue con la chica que mas coincidimos, incluso nos reservo por la noche en los mejores sitios para cenar, según nos apeteciera el tipo de comida. El hotel muy tranquilo y acogedor ideal para descansar. La comida del desayuno muy rica y variada.
El desayuno cierra a las 10:30 lo veo una hora excesivamente temprana para un hotel donde se va a descansar.

super trevligt hotell med en enorm personal med fantastisk service. Litet och mysigt tipsade om restauranger och annat. Fin frukost och bra läge. Fin stad med alla gamla gator och gränder.
Stranden restaurerade så badandet var begränsat men kommer att bli fantastiskt fint.

An hotel with charm where the spanish hospitality is at its best.

Even if not rated as a five star we received the best treatment for the category. Room design and comfort were excellent. Services from the owners was very dedicated. Located at five minutes walking distance from the beach, the historic sites and the commercial district it still has a quiet environment. We will definitely return whenever in the area. As say their moto: "Un Hotel con encanto" an hotel with charm.
