About Hotel Amstelzicht

Amstelzicht is a 3-star hotel set in a townhouse dating from 1659 in the lively historic heart of Amsterdam, overlooking the river Amstel. The famous square of Rembrandtplein is a 2-minute walk away, while the Flower Market is within a 5-minute walk. From Amstelzicht, the shopping street at Kalverstraat is 400 metres away. The Jewish Historical Museum and Waterlooplein are 500 metres away. The rooms combine the typical Amsterdam character of wooden ceiling beams with modern furnishings. Guests benefit from large box-spring beds, flat-screen TV and free WiFi. There is also an iPod docking station. The double rooms with canal view all have double window frames to minimize the noises from outside. A minibar, tea/coffee making facilities and private bathroom are standard at Amstelzicht. The double rooms with canal view include a Nespresso coffee machine and a scenic canal view. Guests can enjoy free coffee or tea in the lobby. A range of breakfast options are available at restaurants within 100 metres from the hotel.

Please note that there is no lift in the building. The stairs to the hotel entrance and in the building are steep and are not suitable for guests with limited mobility. All rooms are non-smoking If you arrive before 08:00 or after 22:00, please inform the hotel of your arrival time and flight number. This way the reception staff can be there to welcome you. Please note that the hotel will pre-authorise your credit card 7 days prior to arrival. Please note that guests are required to show the credit card that was used to make the booking, upon arrival. If guests can't bring the card, they should provide the accommodation with a copy of the credit card and an authorization from the credit card holder. Please note that an extra bed/children's bed is (see Policies) is only available on request and after confirmation from the property. On the day of arrival a 100 EUR security deposit will be pre-authorised on the card ( for phone calls, mini bar, etc). On the day of check-out, the security deposit will be released if there are no expenses to be covered. Please note that when making a reservation for 4 rooms or more, different cancellation policies apply. The hotel will inform you about this policy via e-mail.

A leaning hotel of Ams with lots to offer

Location is excellent, close to cafes, shopping malls, cruise stopping points and mini markets. New and beautifully decorated. The best bed linen and generous pillows. Tram to and from Centraal Station is just 2 mins walk behind the hotel ie Rembrant Square.
The staircase is too narrow and steep due to the age of the building. Going up with large suitcases is a challenge. The pub next door can be a bit noisy when people out chatting at the rear but only when room window is opened.

The room was really small and cold, a lot of bar noise during the evening! The room is so small that you can barely fit in with luggages. The is also s strong smoke smell..so before there has been smoked at the rooms..for sure. The walls are like paper, you will definitely here all the noises from other rooms & corridor.

Lo que resalta de este alojamiento es su ubicación, es excelente sobre el río amstel y a media cuadra de la plaza Rembrandt, cerca de todo.
Que la recepción solo funcionara de día y la relación calidad precio malísima, una habitación de hotel súper básica, y con un mueble con la puerta rota, el placard de nuestra habitación era para llorar. Si bien Ámsterdam es un destino caro en verano........ hay que animarse a cobrar esas tarifas por este hotel!!!
