Asterisk Hotel offers 3-star superior accommodation in 2 restored 19th century buildings in the centre of Amsterdam. It is situated at 10 minutes walking distance from the Rijksmuseum and offers free WiFi in the entire property. Guests can relax in the garden or lobby and explore the surroundings, where one can find cafes and restaurants. All rooms are accessible by lift and are equipped with a flat-screen TV, a safe, work desk and a private bathroom. A 24-hour check-in front desk is available and in the lobby guests can enjoy water and a small snack in the afternoon. The hotel offers a paid airport shuttle and taxi service upon request. A tour desk where excursions, tours, museum tickets, souvenirs and toiletries can be bought is also present. Breakfast includes a.o. fresh baked eggs: fried, omelette scrambled or cooked, pancakes, bacon, salmon, mozzarella, various french cheeses, fresh fruit salad, different types of bread, cereals, toppings and fruit juices. Many attractions can be found in the vicinity such as The Heineken Experience (350 metres) Muntplein (1,1 km), Van Gogh Museum (1,1 km) and the Hermitage (1,1 km). The hotel is only 250 metres from the Weteringcircuit Tram Stop where 4 tram lines run.

Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Frühstück mit auf Wunsch frisch gemachten Spiegeleiern, Bacon und Pfannkuchen war sehr lecker und den (extra) Preis 12,50€ absolut wert. Kann vor Ort auch jeden Tag entschieden werden, ob man zum Frühstück im Hotel möchte.
Bad ist recht klein: Zu zweit gleichzeitig etwas eng

La grande scortesia e scorrettezza di parte dello staff che prima ci ha fatto pagare la stanza per poi dirci che sarebbe stata pronta dopo 5 ore scusandosi dicendo che l'unica cosa che potevano fare era offrirci un caffe'

A localização é excelente, próximo aos pontos de Traim, fácil acesso aos principais pontos turisticos da cidade. Supermercados e padarias próximos. Equipe extremada atenciosa e prestativa. Na chegada fomos recebidos pela Lisa, que mesmo com meu fraco inglês, ela se esforçou ao maximo para se fazer entender e nos entender. Nota 10 pra ela. Café da manhã farto e com preço justo. Quarto limpo, amplo, camas confortáveis, chuveiro excelente. Superou minhas expectativas em todos aspectos. Desktop com impressão à disposição do cliente. Venda de ticktes de transporte a venda na recepção. Lugar tranquilo, seguro e agradável, tipicamente holandês. Recomendo e voltarei!

Lots and lots and lots of positives. Lovely friendly staff. Good location; walking distance to Heineken experience, Leidseplein and Museumplein. You can buy advance tickets at hotel. Trams nearby. You get a discount if you book direct on website. They have a very informative guide in room on restaurant and sight seeing suggestions. Free water and snacks in afternoon. Nice clean spacious bathroom. Bed was comfy. On lovely street good restaurant & brunch places nearby. Def stay there again!
Lift little old fashioned and small so can feel claustrophobic but worked fine so not a problem really. The window linen had a black stain on it. Can be noisy2in morning if leave window open like we did as it's on a beautiful residential tree lined street.

Das Personal war super freundlich und wir haben in allen Bereichen Mitarbeiter vorgefunden die Spaß an Ihrem Job haben und den Service mit Freude durchführen. Herzliche Begrüßung,schneller Check in - obwohl wir schon früher vor Ort waren als geplant, tolles Frühstück und jederzeit Kekse und Getränke im Eingangsbereich. Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Es ist zwar nicht billig, aber wenn alles stimmt ist es doch auch in Ordnung. Danke wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und können Sie nur weiterempfehlen, außerdem war alles zu Fuß erreichbar!

My stay at the asterisk hotel

The hotel was close enough to the center of Amsterdam the number 16 tram takes you straight there only 3 stops.the room was nice and clean the bed was extremely comfy slept like a log tea and coffee facilities in the room the staff was very friendly Room cleaned daily take no notice of bad reviews some people are just to picky about where they stay thank you to all the staff at the asterisk hotel for a most enjoyable stay

The staff where very friendly and helpful - suggesting some amazing places to eat in the city (Thai food is delicious in Amsterdam!) there is a lift up to the second floor so we could easily get our bags to our rooms. The room was a great size and the bed was comfortable. Very quiet street! we felt safe walking down it at night. The hotel is walking distance from all the sites.
The room could beneifit from having a mini fridge for cold water and milk etc
