Hotel Bellington is situated in the most exclusive shopping street of Amsterdam, a 5-minute walk from both the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum. There is free Wi-Fi. There are rooms for up to 4 persons with either a private bathroom or shared facilities. All rooms have a TV. For breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are a large variety or restaurants in the surrounding area and near Leidse Square, an 8-minute walk away. The Hobbemastraat tram stop is located 300 meters away from The Bellington. It offers direct access to Amsterdam Central Station and the World Trade Centre in 15 minutes.

Felt like a small hostel.

The gentleman who cleaned the rooms did a good job. ataff was nice. Rooms are cutely updated, but the carpet and bathrooms haven't been updated in 50 years. Location is killer amazing.
The shabbiness of the carpets, they were ripping all over. It felt dirty.

Don't be misled by the pictures!

I liked the fact that the place had a mini fridge.
As you wall thought the door, you see an old carpet. The stairs were squeeky. It was sometimes hard to get into the room. The price I paid for the room I would say was too much. I was expecting a nice looking hotel room but the bathroom door had a hole in it. The mirror look really old. The location is good if you are planning to just stay around the south of the city. If you are planning to be going into the city centre, like I did every day, it is a bit of a walk... About 20-30 minutes walk(depending on the walking speed). It would be a far better idea to get a private room in a hostel which would have been closer to the city centre. For €141,for 2 nights,it is too expensive for the kind of a place it is and where it is. Also, don't be misled, like I was. The website says the hotel has storage but it is not a lockable one. It's just a cupboard next to the reception desk without the possibility of making it secure.

POUR LE PRIX!!! vous trouverez largement mieux Chambre vétuste , rideau de douche très sale, Aucun ménage en trois jours, ne change pas les draps ni les serviettes tuyau de douche cassé remplacé au bout de 10h après réclamation, chambre avec moquette , mobilier très vieux Téléphone de la réception ne fonctionne pas Bruyant Interrupteur pas au norme du tout ... Lobby on doit descendre et sorti pour rentrer dans une nouvelle maison Bref pour le prix à plus de 130 euros la nuit c'est le pire rapport qualité prix

Muy buena ubicación, el bus desde el aeropuerto deja al lado, se puede ir andando al centro y no hacen falta transportes.
Lo peor fue tener que compartir el baño y la ducha y subir las escaleras del hotel con una pendiente tremenda! Elegid habitación con baño, si no resulta demasiado caro para lo que es.

At +than 100E/night, it is a true scam ! Uncomfortable,dirty & degraded, all combined ! I had booked in a hurry only looking at the "official" pictures (& not the reviews), they are treacherous & do NOT reflect AT ALL the real thing (cf. ours to check). The mattress was so uncomfortable that I ended up sleeping on the bed-base, & that is how I discovered how filthy the bedding & pillow were (scattered with yellowish brown stains & large rings). A hole in the door, another on the wall; in the bathroom : an unprotected bulb & bin not emptied, a smell of sewage when you use the shower; an empty bottle of beer on the balcony, EVERYTHING REFLECTED A LACK OF CARE & MAINTENANCE.We wasted the following morning trying to get in touch with someone (nobody on the phone nor at the reception desk before 11am) in order to have the remaining four nights refunded. The refund was instantly denied to us & we had a very unpleasant argument with the owner. He reproached me with demanding 4* standards & with not expecting his proposals; but which solution did he put forward ? He did not even have a clean pillow or clean mattress-cover as a spare !?! Quite unbelievable, isn't it ? He only offered us another room, with 3 beds to share with our son & daughter-in-law who were joining us 2 days later !According to him, if the pictures were different it was because the room had been renovated ... well ! Our pictures are there to show that refurbishing does not mean the same to us !Concerning the flight of stairs, he argued it was the same, although acknowledging that the photo was old ... indeed it is the same place but the carpet has been aging too ! & the walls have been degraded as well.The bed in our son's room turned out to be just as uncomfortable as ours; usually when in our thirties, our backs are not so sensitive but here the equipment is the lowest of the lowest, the cheapest of the cheapest !

Positiver kurzaufenhalt in Amsterdam mit Familie

Kleines, gemütliches Hotel ohne viel Schnick-Schnack. Die Lage zu den Museen und ÖV ist sehr gut und in ein paar Minuten erreichbar. Hatten ein einfach aber zweckmässig eingerichtetes Vierbettzimmer im obersten Stockwerk bezogen. Gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Personal ist zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Gute Info betreffend günstigem Parkieren bekommen.. Liegt in sehr ruhigem Quartier. Zum Essen erreicht man in 5 bis 10 Minuten viele Restaurants. Ansonsten geht man ins Zentrum.
Kleiner Nachteil sind die steilen Treppen. Im Hotel keine Essmöglichkeit aber dafür ein Kühlschrank.

The location of this hotel is fantastic (only to cetnral station it is 30 minutes walk) It is the fancy part of the city. We could see Prada and Luis Vuitton from our window. Beds are really soft but comfortable. Fridge and TV in the room.
No possibility to have a breakfast there (Albert is 5 minutes away), really small room and not very clean.

Silenziosità del quartiere di notte e disponibilità ed efficienza dell addetto alla reception
Logisticamente e' impossibile data la struttura cambiare qualcosa, ma le scale ripidissime senza ascensore devono essere fatte notare tra le caratteristiche del hotel, un anziano potrebbe essere in difficoltà.

Preferirei che nell'albergo ci sia un luogo dove poter mangiare o stare seduti a tavola.

Może nie w samym centrum ale tuż za ostatnim kanałem i otoczony wszystkimi głównymi muzeami. Dość czysto jak na taki standard.
Łazienka piętro wyżej dzielona z całym hotelem (ok 5 pokoi chyba).
