About Hotel Emporium

Emporium is a family-run gastronomic hotel in the historic centre of Castelló d’Empúries, in Catalonia’s Alt Empordà region. It offers a One-Michelin-Star gourmet restaurant with an award-winning wine cellar. The hotel is just 4km from the beaches of the Costa Brava and Empuriabrava Marina. The area around Castelló is part of the Aiguamolls de l’Empordà Natural Park. There is easy access by road to Girona, with free parking at the hotel. Bedrooms at the Emporium Hotel are bright and comfortable. They all have free Wi-Fi and satellite TV. The hotel also has a relaxing lounge and a café-bar, serving drinks and snacks all day. The hotel’s elegant Empòrium restaurant serves typical regional cuisine. It offers tasting menus and a daily set menu, as well as à la carte dishes. El personal molt amable.
Necessita reforma integral, canviar els marcs de les finestres, treure la moqueta del terra de l'habitació (fa brut) i la dutxa és massa petita, quasi no et pots ni moure. Massa just tot plegat.

A long way from the beach!

The bed was comfy. Location good to go to old town
Our room was a shoebox. The shower was smaller than a telephone box. The rooms were so noisy. There was no airconditioning! The owner told us there were no other restaurants around as they wanted us to eat there but we went for a walk 5 mins away and found there was a great big fiesta in the old town with lots of places to eat. We enjoyed the fiesta a lot

Es el segundo año seguido que me alojo.

La atencion recibida al comentar el ruido del ascensor al estar la habitacion al lado,nos cambiaron a otra muy amablemente.Los desayunos de pan de coca , embutidos de calidad, y buenisimas croquetas de jamon Iberico.A destacar zumos de naranja natural fresquito en vasos muy generosos.

Rooms were very old fashioned and lacked any modern comforts, we could here the people a voice our room whilst they were on the toilet! We checked out after one night to stay somewhere else.

Nous déconseillons FORTEMENT cet établissement

Rien, ce fut le pire de nos séjours Le seul point positif : les 2 serveuses de "la cafétéria " qui en fait est un restaurant mais que l'établissement doit différencier de leur restaurant (une étoile guide Michelin) juste à côté.
La patronne : pas aimable du tout La chambre non climatisée et très petiteLes draps mouillés Un hôtel très très bruyant : impossible de dormirLa nourriture de "la cafétéria " très chère pour la qualité (nous allons très régulièrement en Espagne et avons l'habitude de mieux manger pour moins cher)
