About Hotel Maurits

The family-run Hotel Maurits provides a peaceful garden and a homely lounge. It consists of several different buildings next to each other in a former early 20th-century shopping street. The Hotel Maurits is located on a quiet street in The Hague’s residential Statenkwartier area, within walking distance from Scheveningen harbour and beach. Guests can easily head into the city centre with the excellent public transport connections. Each room has a private bathroom, coffee and tea facilities and a flat-screen TV. With comfortable box-spring beds and peaceful surroundings, these rooms ensure a good night’s rest. Free WiFi is offered. Start each day with an extensive free breakfast buffet. Weather permitting, guests can enjoy breakfast outside in the garden.

This hotel has no elevator. Therefore the single and double rooms on the ground floor are especially suitable for older guests. No elevator, heating and hot water didn't work the first day, they couldn't fix it so they had to change my room.

Prima hotel, dicht bij strand en diverse bezienswaardigheden met OV snelbereikbaar.

zeer vriendelijk personeel, ontbijt was prima. De stilte/rust in de wijk en hotel.
Dat er geen restaurant in het hotel is waar je 's avonds een slaapmutsje kan drinken. (mini bar op de kamer was zo goed als leeg)

Ontbijt meer dan voldoende. Kamer is meer een appartement. Met apart ingericht keukentje en badkamer met douche. Personeel m.n. Roxana heel vriendelijk, behulpzaam en heel prettig in de omgang. Waren er voor de tweede keer. Vrij parkeren in de wijk.
Kamers zijn wat gedateerd.

Good location: quiet street but close to conference center, shops, restaurants and public transport to e.g. beach. I booked a single room but received a free upgrade to a family room.
The hotel room was too warm for my liking, without a good way to have it cool down. Admittedly, it was hot weather I stayed there, but I had the impression that it would have been warm otherwise as well (the day I arrived the room was already hot whereas it wasn't really hot yet outside).

Pesonal war sehr freundlich, die Lage für Ausflüge prima und trotz Innenstadt sehr ruhig.
Die Zimmer sind schon sehr abgewohnt und sehr einfach. 1 (Schiebe-)Fenster nicht zu öffnen, das andere musste auf abenteuerliche Weise mit einem Keil vor dem Herabfallen bewahrt werden. Hatte aufgrund der Bewertungen und des Preises etwas mehr erwartet.

Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Ruhig und dennoch zentral gelegen. Freundliches Personal. Raum für die Unterbringung von Fahrrädern vorhanden.
Frühstück mit nur geringer Auswahl. Mobile Klimaanlage im Zimmer war zu laut und lief nur wenn der Strom an war. Service / Zimmerreinigung hätte besser sein können.

man kann ziemlich lange Frühstücken von 7 bis 10. Es ist alles da jedoch nicht gehoben- 2 Sorten Käse wie Wurst und sobald die Teller im Buffet leer sind, wird von den Angestellt schnell nachgefüllt. Es ist kein Luxus-Frühstück aber zum satt werden ist alles vorhanden. Man kann auch bei schönem Wetter im Garten frühstücken. Man bekommt sehr leicht kostenlose Parkplätze vor dem Hotel bzw. in der nähe. Das Hotel selbst ist mitten von Wohngebiet und war wohl mal ein ganz normales Wohnhaus, welches jetzt zu einem Hotel umfunktioniert wurde. Die Empfangsdame bei der Ankunft war sehr freundlich und hilfsbreit und hat mir gleich ein Buch über den Haag in die Hand gedrückt und erklärt wie wir zum Strand kommen ohne nach zu fragen. Es wurde uns auch gleich erklärt wie wir in die Innenstadt kommen und wie viel die Strassenbahnkarte kostet. Es ist eine Küche vorhanden aber die Benutzung nur nach Rücksprache und zusätzliche Kosten möglich. Wir haben jedoch davon nicht gebrauch gemacht. Ansonsten ist Gegend sehr ruhig und die Strasse ruhig. Würde ich wieder in das Hotel gehen? Die Antwortet lautet eindeutig "ja".
kein Klima-Haus ist relativ alt-das ganze eher eine Pension also ein Hotel- Man kann gut übernachten aber bitte nicht mit einem Luxus-Hotel verwechseln. Sehr steile Treppe bitte mit Gepäck beim Treppen steigen aufpassen sonst sind schneller wieder unten als gewünscht. Leer Geschirr könnte man schneller im Frühstücksraum aufräumen.

The room is large, with a kitchen and brend new bathroom. The small place for breakfast is great , It has a garder in the backyard. The persons at the desk are friendly and helpful. The street is very quiet, very close to the Word Forum and a few blocks for the ocean. The tram takes you to the city (old town) in 10 min, It is perfect!

De locatie is perfect, je ben zo in Scheveningen (lopend goed te doen, de Pier is wel ver) en zo in het centrum van Den Haag (ov). Het gratis parkeren ging prima. Het ontbijt was prima verzorgd, veel keus en continu aangevuld. Alle medewerkers zijn supervriendelijk, de gastvrijheid is top!
De kamer (familiekamer) was heerlijk ruim maar de gedateerde uitstraling (gordijnen met veel gaten er in bijv) viel wel tegen. Dat de badkamer klein is was geen probleem, de zwakke straal van de douche was niet prettig.
