About Hotel Meridional

This family hotel is situated in a privileged setting on the beach front, with 15 km of beaches and surrounded by protected landscapes. It has an outdoor pool with a spa area. All the rooms are doubles and have large terraces that enjoy views of the sea. Its well known restaurant offers you the finest regional rice dishes and the fruits of the sea of the local area. This is a place to enjoy some relaxing holidays, great cuisine and a naturally beautiful setting with sea views. Near the hotel you can practice horse-riding, paragliding and trekking in Laguna de la Mata National Park. The offering for golfers is considerable in this area with four courses in a radius of 25 km. On-site parking is available on request.

mooi hotel aan kust maar in triestige buurt

superlekker ontbijt lekker menu (in half pension) mooie kamer met zeezicht
ontvangst ligging aan kust was top maar het stadje zelf was "doods" ons terras lag op geen enkel moment in de zon

Mediocre overall quality, but great location by the beach.

Loсation is perfect - 50 metres to a superb beach. Breakfast is very good both in range and quality (except for coffee).
The room was not very clean - bed linen and towels with lots of hair. A cocroach was spotted and killed by us in the bathroom. Air conditioning was not coping even though it was early October. Sometimes the air conditioner started pumping extremely stinky air and had to be turned off. The shower cabin in our room was terribly small and constantly kept leaking (some rooms have larger cabins).

Das Restaurant, die Speisekarte, die Qualität der Speisen hat uns sehr gut gefallen, das Frühstück war Standard. Die Lage des Hauses, die Aussicht zum Meer, die Dachterasse sehr gut.
Ein etwas schmales Doppelbett. Es gibt leider keinen Haarfön im Bad.

Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, Abendessen eher mittelmässig. Zimmer sehr schön, aber etwas klein. Balkon mit guter Meersicht. Mit dem Auto ca. 30Min. bis Alicante. Schöner Sandstrand gerade mal 2 Minuten vom Hotel entfernt. Private kostenpflichtige Parkpläte, aber nicht teuer!

The Food...we had the same salad every night in the centre of the table with tinned tuna & sweetcorn. No vegetables. Starters cheap, i.e. Lentils, Chickpeas, toast with bit of Tomato & mozzarella. Maincourse.....Rabbit etc all bone no meat, hardly any potato and usually cold. Ordered Baked Apple Dessert, and we were first in, and there was none! As a well travelled Chef of 35 years experience, I found the food to be awful.

Sehr gute Lage, direkt an der ruhigen Straße am tollen Strand. Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis für Halbpension.
Kleines Doppelzimmer, aber renoviert. Die verbauten Materialien haben einen eigenen Geruch, darum lüften!

Das Frühstück sollte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein, Betten für korpulente Personen zu schmal.

Premium location, even a cheaper side room had a view of the beach, which is very near. We managed to receive a really substantial discount. Even though it was after season, the buffet breakfast was rich. We can recommend the restaurant for dinner as well.

El restaurante es de mucha altura y una relación calidad preciocasi insuperable, ejemplo menu degustación "picoteo mediterráneo con 7 platos 28 euros. El bar de la azotea tiene unas vistas magnificas al igual que el hidromasaje de la 5ª planta.
Para disfrutar del hidromasaje hay que reservar ....y estaba todo pillado.

Probably one of the best hotels on the beautiful Guardamar beach

Nice looking boutique style hotel with roof terrace (superb views along the beach towards the promenade),whirlpool spa (extra charge ), swimming pool and secure car parking (extra charge). Close to the beach.
Poorly sound proofed rooms. (We were originally on the top floor (4th) when a party was taking place in the attached ground floor restaurant below our balcony which could still be heard with closed doors and windows until 1am). Luckily the roof terrace was rarely in use but neighbours could also be clearly heard as well as people talking loudly in stairwell and corridors at 4am. I expected the Whirlpool Spa to be included in the comparatively high room rates for the location. Beach Bar was closed /removed just days before our arrival (early October). 800 meters from the promenade (restaurants and available beach bars)
