Don't use the apartments if you have kids!

I have chosen this apartment for the location until I figured out I was chased by drug dealers with my children asking me to buy hardcore drugs! I've stayed a couple of times at your apartments before, and I will never stay there again if I have my kids! Windows need to be a bit more sound proof.. Very noisy at night and in the morning when garbage cars are collecting the trash! The internet connection was very poor during all my stay.

Door card kept failing. No instructions for washing machine. Light over sink out and not replaced when reported. Need guest computers and printer in lobby.

Beautiful place at a prime location. Had dinner with a large group in the reserved dining room. The food and service crew, provided by the Mise en Place agency, were OK but not great. Parts of the building were under construction, so some passages were a bit too narrow.

Insufficient service in Restaurant. We had lunch at about 01:00 pm and expressed our wish as to "we would like to have lunch - we are hungry". Nobody told us that the dish we ordered is super small (~50g of fish) and comes without any side dishes. No bread, no vegetables, nothing for a price of 70,-€. We were asking for some vegetables (plural) as a side dish and got pure broccoli - like a rabbit. A shame for the flagship hotel.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Staff was extremely helpful and even gave us champagne and chocolates. View from room was amazing. Room was contemporary and we loved it! Amazing start to our honeymoon. Highly recommend!

They can not speak ENGLISH. Room service has bad communications, orders are wrong, they send more than you order. The concierge is rude. House keeping sucks..HAD PERSONAL ITEMS STOLEN FROM THE ROOM. THE RESULTS WERE----HOW ABOUT A CHEAP FREE BREAKFAST. OTHER WISE THEY DON'T GIVE A SHIT. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND FIND A GOOD HOTEL. FOR THE MONEY THIS PLACE SUCKS.

We stayed in a room over summer before moving to amsterdam. At the north side of the hotel. There was a lot of noise in the alley. People were sitting on the hotels steps late at night and peeing in street. Not sure if other rooms have the same amount of noise it was very dissapointing. Dont think the hotel manager does anything about it.

This hotel is a great example European historic style. One of the more expensive hotels in Amsterdam but well worth the extra money. The location is great for getting around the city.Handy to Central Station for getting to and from the airport - save 100 euros in taxi fees to and from the airport and experience Europe the way you should travel.Outside you are right in Dam Square - one of the major gathering points of the city. Walk across the street to the Euro Bar and grab a seat outside and do some people watching or enjoy the small fair grounds with rides and street food that is always there on weekends.From the hotel you can get to anywhere in the city very easily or enjoy the many restaurants very close by.While many see this as an older hotel to me it represents that regal aspect of older European cities.
