A tropical island all to yourself !

5.00/5.0
Malvanua is very much like having a tropical island all to yourself. The owners Torq and Marianne are incredibly helpful, they live on the other side of the island so are close at hand for help but you wouldn't know they were there. The house has its own private beach, access to the lagoon, reefs, blue holes etc. It has everything a family needs, well appointed even an outdoor shower. We expected mosquitos, there were none! Water was warm and clear, loads of fish and wildlife. We spotted a dugong just off the beach. Load up on food from home as local supermarket selection is limited. Great family holiday.

Peaceful and relaxing private island

5.00/5.0
Everything. Secluded and quite place, perfect for total privacy, but at the same time you can feel the warm welcome of the owners always available for supporting in getting the food for the market, drive to town center and boat to nearby islands. Good snorkeling just outside the house, private beach, comfortable swinging beds for afternoon nap at the entrance, good breakfasts with Marianne's home baked bread. Modern, clean and comfortable house. Torquel and Marianne are perfect hosts, our stay couldn't be better and we even did not feel the need to go for other activities nearby, just perfect relaxing there. Looking forward to going back there.

Peaceful. Spectacular. Perfect... Paradise

We loved so many things about Malvanua Island Beach House. It was such a peaceful holiday location and truly private (only light visible at night was from a yacht moored across the other side of the lagoon)! In no particular order, we loved snorkelling, the hermit crabs, kayaking in the lagoon and further afield - to the glorious Turtle Island and to the Matevulu Blue Hole, turtle spotting, sitting out to eat on the deck, the hermit crabs, the birds, walking in the jungle. Swimming was another very popular activity. Our boys (10 and 13) were occasionally in the water at 6am! The water was so lovely - incredibly clear and warm (what were we thinking with those wetsuits that hung in the cupboard for the duration of our stay???). Snorkelling was pretty good just a stone's throw from the house and even better - dare I say world class - at nearby Turtle Island, easily reached by kayak. The house itself was perfect - the pictures don't do it justice (we loved the roomy ensuite bathrooms, gas stove and big fridge). The hammocks were also very popular with the boys. Sitting or swimming out under the stars at night, watching the stars, and the fireflies in the jungle, was just amazing. Marianne's bread was delicious and the fresh coconuts, fruits and fish were truly mouthwatering. Even the beef, cooked on the BBQ, was the best ever (according to my husband and our boys... I'm not a meat eater). We enjoyed visits to Turtle Bay resort and Oyster Bay resort for lunch (the Sunday buffet at Oyster Bay resort was a sumptuous gourmet spread). We loved the weather - the warm days, light afternoon breezes and occasional overnight storms. We also went horse riding with Megan and that was amazing too - a first riding experience for my husband and boys and she looked after them so well. Another special experience was the Mount Hope waterfall tour. Torq and Marianne are amazing people and were the consummate hosts. Frederick is great too...
There was nothing we didn't like.

An exclusive paradise

5.00/5.0
Malvanua Island Beach House provided the complete unwind our family needed. We stayed for 6 nights, went kayaking every morning and our 5 and 3 year old enjoyed playing on our private beach during the day. We kayaked to and picniced at the nearby Matevulu Blue Hole, snorkelled in coral gardens on Turtle Island, and took a short drive to visit the breathtaking Champagne Beach and garden of Eden-like Nanda Blue Hole. We swayed in hammocks, read books and chatted as we watched the night sky light up with more stars than we'd ever seen in our lives. Torq and Marianne were incredibly generous and hospitable hosts, respecting our privacy while making sure we had absolutely everything we needed. The house is modern, well equipped and comfortable while the private location makes you feel like your in your exclusive piece of Pacific paradise. You can do as little or as much as you feel inclined, without the pressure of time. We've traveled to many places in the world, and this was honestly one of the best holidays we've had. Thank you Torq and Marianne for sharing your piece of paradise with us. If you're reading this and looking for a peaceful escape from it all, you've found the right place. Go ahead and book, you'll have an unforgettable time!

The facilities in the house were clean, new and it was very well organised. And as for the location...... it couldn't have been better. And then top that off with two of the nicest people as hosts. It makes for a wonderful holiday - thanks Torq and Marianne
