Location is great right by the freeway and Spokane Valley mall. Rooms are spacious and clean. Only a cook top and no stove. They take your credit card for incidentals but actually charge your card $20 a day instead of waiting until you check out to see if you've used any extra services. We've been here for a week now due to some flooding in my apartment with my insurance estimating at least another month. That's going to be over $600 they will be charging my credit card for no reason.

It is a hotel. They have rooms. Pretty nice ones actually. With a nice couch, a desk, a bed, in it's own separate little room. These ones have kitchen areas with a real fridge. I always stay at Residence Inn's if I am going to be around for more than a couple days. A place to make a snack or meal is wonderful. Not sleeping three inches from the desk you were just working at is nice. Those unspeakable acts with the girlfriend help make fond memories of the stay as well.

Horrible experience got here checked in just fine went to our room my 5 year old got get swim suit on and headed to the pool just to find out that is closed. She is heart broken. We tried talking to them about getting a refund but it had to be 24hr before our check-in. So here we are wroth a heart broken little girl and no chance to change hotels.

I have been traveling for work for the past 20 years and go out of my way to stay at a Residence Inn. To date, I have never had a single problem at any Residence Inn (RI) throughout the United States. This RI is truly an outlier to the Marriott brand. Each day, a new staff-related inconvenience or indifference has occurred. I will just give a brief list:1) When I checked in my room had no toilet paper. I called and housekeeping brought one roll to my room. The next day upon returning after work expected housekeeping to restock additional rolls. No, not restocked.2) This is the second day in a row where I have returned to the room after work at 4:30 p.m. and received no housekeeping service.3) Last week all the guests received a letter from the mgr that our bathroom floors would be cleaned by an outside vendor and for us on Friday or Saturday and to not put the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our doors. This week on Monday morning, I am asleep after a night shift and in barges the floor cleaning service - THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN WAS ON MY DOOR. The front desk's explanation, oh they didn't show up last week. 4) The hotel has bicycles they loan out. I went to sign two out at the same time a guest was checking in. I told the front desk clerk that I would wait outside by the bikes (they were locked) so that he could check in the guest. After waiting awhile, I went back in and the clerk was folding towels - his excuse - he forgot. Oh and one of the bikes had two flat tires.5) I reported that the washing machine did not go into spin and my clothes came out sopping wet. I brought a sample to show. The clerk's response, "Would you like me to report this to maintenance?" No apology, no refund of the wash money - nothing.6) I asked front desk clerk, Kyle if I could have a receipt for the past week to submit to my company instead of waiting until I check out in a month. He said he didn't think that could be done, but he would speak to the manager and call me. No call came. I went to the front desk later and he had printed it out. This morning, I asked front desk clerk Anthony for the same thing for this week and in 10 seconds, he had printed it out.7) Asked Kyle to fax some receipts I had taped to paper and he first made copies because he, "didn't want to ruin his fax machine with my receipts". I have been having the Marriot front desk fax my receipts for 10 years without making a copy and their machine has never been ruined. Kyle was not pleased to be asked to fax something and was not shy about showing his dismay. The staff, with the exception of Anthony (who is FANTASTIC), is like a bunch of zombies. This includes the manager, Angela Miller, who when I related some of the staff's initial antics seemed barely concerned. It is obvious that the staff here is absolutely not afraid to offer no customer service as there appears to be no repercussions to anyone's unprofessional and indifferent behavior. The difference between Anthony who is a true professional with extraordinary customer service skills and the rest of this motley bunch is striking. This is the type of service one would expect at a hotel which rents rooms hourly. The one positive aspect of this hotel is the décor in the rooms is really first rate. Very stylish and attractive.

I stayed in this hotel for a little over a month while on a business trip. The maids do not vaccum, clean the bathroom or wipe down the counters during your stay. After two-weeks, I still did not have clean sheets on my bed. I even went as far as to take the sheets off of the bed before work and to my complete surprise they put the same dirty sheets back on my bed. I complained twice and finally had to call the "800" customer service number before I could get them to clean the room correctly. I went as far as to ask for my own sheets and cleaning supplies. The gym is extremely small and only offers three antique pieces of equipment. On most mornings you have to battle others for a place in breakfast line and are lucky to get anything to eat if you are not there at 6:30am sharp. They allow pets but do not treat for fleas well because I felt as if I was constantly killing little bugs everywhere. The only positive things that I can say about this place is that the room is big enough for anyone who has an extended stay. I will most likely not stay here again. Very disappointing for a Marriot.
