The bed was very confortable. The staff was amazing. They answered all of questions. From our window you could see the river.
The breakfast could have been a little better by adding a better variety of items

Clean and comfortable.

Hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Loved the location. Staff was friendly.
We experienced one cold shower at night. We were supposed to have bottled water in our fridge but it was empty. The sink is very small and located in the room. The room was tight but comfortable and served our purpose for the one night.

Excellent location. Old time charm with many amenities.

Excellent location and free parking. Outdoor patio was relaxing.
The shower head was positioned too high and sprayed back wall. We were not able to adjust. Maybe lower rates during non-peak and weekdays would help fill during those times.

Had a great stay except for the shower situation.

The bed was amazing.
There was an issue with the wayer in the shower not staying warm/hot. It would go cold and would have to shut it completely off for a few minutes to get the water to the desired temp. Had to do this 2 to 3 times during the shower.

They were so understanding about our circumstances and gave us such considerations. They made our 50th anniversary special. Great place to be!
Cannot think of a thing except the weather.

While making phone reservations for a weekend stay I was told that there was a two night minimum, so I would have to book a room for Friday and Saturday night. This was not a problem, because that was our plan anyway. When we arrived, the manager told us he only had reservations for us for one night. We could not find another room in town for Saturday night and had to cut our trip short, missing the main Sunday attraction that we came for. All reservations are by hand. Seems they would benefit from upgrading to a computer so customers could get email confirmations to prevent these human errors.

A charming, delightful place. Mo & the staff took very good care of me while I visited there late this Summer (2014). I was completing a bicycle ride along the Mississippi River at the time.

We had a relaxing time at the Ruebel. It is so quaint with many antiques and historic atmosphere. The rooms have been kept in the 19th century motif with lovely décor. Our room was extremely clean and bed was just right. They do provide TV/internet, but who needs that when you can sit on a deck and watch the old muddy Mississippi and its traffic?! My only change would be to not go on Monday since their "saloon restaurant" is closed on Mondays and the menu looked delicious. Would go again and recommend.

Fantastic Hotel! We live 90 minutes away from Grafton and frequent the town often. We have had excellent dinner at the Ruebel Restaurant over the years but have never stayed at the Hotel. Yesterday we couldn't tear ourselves away from enjoying the time in town and decided to spend the night. We called multiple places and the Ruebel had the best rate and location for what we wanted. The owner and his son treated us like we were 5 star guests. The entire place was very clean and staff was friendly. We cannot wait to return!

I had read all the reviews for places to stay in Grafton and this place seemed the best. I wasn't wrong! It is a quaint, little, family owned hotel. When you walk in, there was a sign on the front desk that said come to the bar for help - that was our kinda place! We received a key for our hotel room, not a card to swipe! The room was sufficient for our needs. My boyfriend and I ate at the restaurant there in the Reubel twice and both times it was delicious. The wait staff was super friendly and efficient. If going back to Grafton, I would most definitely stay here again.

Doesn't look like much, and there usually aren't many people, but the waitresses are super nice and the food is always excellent. Stop by for dinner and drinks if you are in town.

My wife and I decided to have a quick getaway and stayed here. I thought the price was the best in that area and the hotel has natural charm. Its a small, family like, business so if you are expeting cookie cutter rooms, 24/7 staff, etc, stay at a Holliday Inn. I'm going back, this time with the kids.

My boyfriend and his family planned a short get away (on short notice) so we could relax before summer was over. We found this place online with GREAT mid week rates. Very close to the water park we wanted to go to and it was within walking distance to this awesome little place called the Loading Dock which had live music and good food. Even though the hotel was old, it was spotless and they had quality soaps in the bathroom. The best part was the private balcony me and my man sat out late into the night. I've never been more impressed with a hotel. This place had character and quality. This hotel accommodated us on short notice and made out little holiday memorable. I'll definitely be back THANKS
