Slapen in een landhuis tussen de landerijen

Prachtige plek, mooi landhuis en super ontbijtzaal oude stijl. Perfecte bar met terras voor de deur en pannenkoekenhuis vlak bij aan de Kromme Rijn. Ook leuk voor kinderen, de kamers zijn spartaans. Niks mis mee.

Rooms and bathroom was clean and practical. The staff seemed nice. The breakfast was great. The park area around the hostel was beautiful and peaceful. Would stay there again..
There was only wifi at the reception/bar and that was in a other building a bit away. Be aware that this is a bit outside Utrecht, but it was not hard to reach by bus.

Das Personal ist gleichwohl überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend, was einige, in Ermangelung eines besseren Ausdrucks, Widrigkeiten wett macht.
Wer jemals auf einer beliebigen RoRo-Fähre eine Außenkabine hatte und den Aufenthalt an Bord mit der hier von mir zu bewertenden Unterkunft vergleicht, wird feststellen, dass Schiffe verdammt komfortabel sind. Die Zimmer mögen sauber sein, machen aber einen schmuddeligen Eindruck. Das Parkplatzproblem mag für manchen keine Rolle spielen, aber hätte mir der nette Portier den Tipp, den er mir gegeben hat, nicht gegeben, und wären dann ebendort beide zur Verfügung stehenden Parkplätze besetzt gewesen, hätte ich meinen Pickup auf öffentlichem Grund, circa zweihundert Meter entfernt, in einer Gegend, die sich auf Nachfrage als nicht gerade sicher herausgestellt hat, abstellen müssen; was wiederum zur Folge gehabt hätte, das Gepäck auf der Dachplattform zu entladen und ins Zimmer stellen zu müssen. Ergo: Parkplatzproblem.

Nice location. Good for relaxing without needing to go into Utrecht or over to Bunnik, but still close enough to both to visit easily. Little restaurant place just down the road from the dorms and a cafe next to reception, so easy to get good food in the evening/during the day without having to travel anywhere for it.
The hostel was split over three buildings, something which isn't made clear. The sides on the top bunk are a little high, so when climbing up onto the top bunk the side digs into your shins.

Frühstück war super, Toller Blick auf den Kanal, Lage im Park super, 2. Nacht auch schön ruhig, bis auf die Geräusche der Mitschläfer im 10-Bett zimmer.
Party im Tennisclub gegenüber bis morgens um 5.00 und Gäste die um 2.00 aufs Zimmer kamen und bis 3.00 gequatscht haben

De kale en stinkende douches. Ook was er maar een douche en wasbak per slaapzaal.
