No atmosphere at all :(

2.50/5.0
Great food, evening meals and breakfast :)
No atmosphere at all in the pub, staff not very warming. Bedroom or bathroom floors never cleaned in our 5 night stay. The reserving of tables in the bar area for local people very out of order, poor! !

The room was comfortable and quiet. The pub is off the beaten track, and I would stay there again, but only on a deal.
Food was variable. One meal was excellent, one very average. It was however very busy.

Weekend stay for our anniversary

5.00/5.0
Located in a beautiful village on the East Devon coast, the pub had a welcoming atmosphere, an open fire and amazing food! The rooms were beautifully decorated, large and comfortable and the staff went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic stay for our anniversary (including leaving a chilled bottle of champagne in our room.on arrival) Well are both dinner and breakfast at the Masons arms and both meals were exceptional and again the staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

practically perfect in every way!

5.00/5.0
a great hotel. food is lovely. staff equally so. I have stayed in many hotels and usually something is less than perfect but I can honestly say that it was a faultless stay, thank you so much!
the room was small in the hotel but we are small people! I can see why some larger guests would find it difficult but for us it was great.
