Don't waste your money on this B&B!

Nothing good to say than other the location.
I had reserved my room for 3 nights for a work trip. I was gone over 8 hours every day. When I returned after a long day before my 3rd night, I found that they had packed up and moved all of my personal belongings to another (much smaller) room- without warning or telling me! The host apologized but I never did understand why they didn't at least call me to let me know?! I had to find out by having an awkward confrontation with the folks that were now in my previous room since I had the key to THEIR now room. Why didn't they just place them in another room? The inn was over half empty most of my stay. The icing on the cake was my new smaller room had absolutely NO WIFI and they knew I was there for work. When I brought it to their attention after hunting down the host, she told me I was in the 'black hole' room that everyone there knew had no WIFI. So instead of upgrading me to one of the larger, nicer suite room just down the hall, she invited me to hang out in that room as long as I needed the WIFI- 'just don't sit on the bed or use the restroom'. I mean, seriously. A comp'd room or an upgrade would have made all the difference. I would never recommend staying here. The rooms are Victorian-style frou frou, the owner/hosts seem overwhelmed and seem to be just going through the motions. I made the mistake of googling the inn and saw the article about the Gordon Ramsay hotel nightmares TV show which really soured my experience. I hope it was worth their while doing that show. The upgrades and improvements they may have made as a result of the show will never make up for the bad press will live on the internet forever.

Very friendly staff. We loved the historic value of the building, how well it is preserved. We liked that they had items pertaining to Teddy Roosevelt. Period pieces of art. Overall brightness of the interior made it uplifting. Breakfast was above and beyond exceptions. John was wonderful! The house keeper (we're so sorry we forgot your name, your son's name is John) was so very nice to us and let us look around the upper floor rooms. We really enjoyed our stay!!! Thank you so much!
Brighter lights in bathroom.

Disappointing Dirty Uncomfortable. Wouldn't stay again.

The breakfast fruit was nice and the location was good for walking. The staff was hospitable. We were excited to stay in someplace historical, but...
Our carpet was quite stained. The room was very hot and noisy. There was a need for maintenance. The toilet dispenser needed to be reattached to the wall. There was garbage on the grounds that staff walked right by. Our tablecloth at breakfast was very dirty and we were the first shift to eat. The silverware wasn't clean.

Excellent B & B

Cute and cozy atmosphere.
No tv in room.

Highly overpriced unique bed and breakfast

The staff was nice the room very clean and furnished with very good taste. The whole building is well maintained and is very unique as converted from an old school into Bed and Breakfast.
We overlooked when we booked that it is a bed and breakfast. For a bed and breakfast with no TV or entertainment in the room and very small bathroom this is VERY over prized. We think a good price would be $90.

Accommodations were walking distance to town and lake.

Very welcoming staff. Nice breakfast. Walking distance to downtown area and lake.
The room we had was small. To be fair the rest of the rooms were roomier and many had sitting areas. I don't know if we got the smaller room because we booked through

Very Disappointed at B&B

Bed was fairly comfortable and location to downtown good
Over priced for old out dated rooms that had small bathrooms and no closet or TV Not much natural light and very tight quarters Found mold on morning scones at breakfast and it was less than special as I have health concerns about the food safety there When they serviced the rooms they left the trash and sheets in the elevator all day I paid $ 349 per night and had much higher expectations I have stayed all over our nation and abroad and this rates the worse ever

Would stay again.

Breakfast is creative, tasty and prepared on site. Host and hostess are great folks, friendly and very accommodating. Close to all the action but is in a park like setting. I won the large size lawn chess game!!

Stayed here for the half Ironman, the location couldn't have been better breakfast was delicious and the fact that they had food available at 4 am the day of the race, and pizza after the race was above and beyond. Thank you so much!
Everything was wonderful, I would recommend access to outlets next to the bed rather than across the room. Also, the decorations were wonderful, but didn't leave room for guests belongings.

Overall, a pleasurable stay.

Food and service was good.
Bed a little too soft and foot seemed higher than head of bed.

Did not like barking dog or the half drank bottle of booze left in the room by the previous people. Bathroom sink dripped all night and the host in the morning was very rude to all the customers making comments to what they had eating in a negative way oh ya and the bread put out for making toast was moldy. My wife and I were very dissapointed

Stayed at Roosevelt In for our Anniversary and it was great! We stayed in the Roosevelt Suite, which is the most beautiful of all the rooms and is victorian style themed. Beautiful antique furniture, a fire place. The staff was very friendly and great to chat with. Everything was very clean and taken care of. The breakfast buffet and the loaded omelet was so good. I recommend staying here for a romantic getaway in Coeur d'Alene.

They go out of their way to make you feel like the place is yours and to make your experience a romantic one. We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was just the privacy we needed. We were able to be lazy and have a very delicious filling breakfast inspired by chef Ramsey and when we had leftovers from restaurants they put it in their fridge and even heated it up for us later! We had the Jacuzzi and sauna to ourselves and they were great! I loved the attention rather than going to a huge resort. The Inn is a short two blocks to the beach and downtown shops.

My husband and I eloped at the Roosevelt Inn in January 2014 and we had the best experience. The Inn is a beautiful and intimate setting for a winter elopement. The whole process was very easy and stress free. They know many other wedding services in CDA, they provided great recommendations for us and worked well with the other vendors. They were so warm and welcoming, it felt like visiting family. They also are dog friendly and were were so happy to be able to have our overgrown puppy with us that day. :) If we were to do the whole thing over again we would do exactly the same thing. Many thanks for the wonderful day!

Quaint, historical, quiet hotel just a two minute walk from all the shops and (great) restaurants along the lake. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had everything we needed and then some. They took great care of our dog as well. Nice hot tub!

My wife and I stayed at the Roosevelt on our trip out West. The Coeur d'Alene area is amazingly beautiful, especially in the fall time. The hotel is located on a quaint street with ample parking and within walking distance of the waterfront shops. The staff are super-friendly and the hotel has a lot of charm. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, which was cutely decorated. Breakfast was exceptional and everything was homemade. We'll definitely be back!

We experienced every possible comfort and convenience at the wonderful Roosevelt Inn. It's a great location and the building is just fascinating. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the rooms are charming, and nothing is left to chance - we had everything we needed...and then some. We were completely satisfied.
