Lovely hotel shame about trying to park your car!!!!!!!

3.55/5.0
The claim that there is no need for 'reservation for parking'. Wrong! There is insufficient parking for the number of rooms and took me 45 minutes to find a public parking space. False claim, should be 'Limited parking' !!

Great room but poor breakfast

3.95/5.0
Very spacious room, good quality mattress, well maintained
Breakfast service was appalling, had to keep asking for crockery. etc. Croissants very stale, even the watercress, for which the town is famed, was limp.

Old Coaching Hotel in centre of Alresford

3.75/5.0
Friendly staff and good restaurant. Car parking on site and convenient for going on the steam railway on the Watercress Line. Didn't stay in old part of hotel but were in the new part which had good sized rooms
customers coming late and slamming doors

Inn with basic rooms that need updated

3.15/5.0
Great location and the reception lady was particularly helpful and friendly. She and her colleague who served breakfast with a smile saved this from being a far worse review.
Room was like dated b&b and bathroom was too small to be functional with commercial style flooring and cheap plastic shower. The sink was so tiny, with shelf sticking over it. Water just went on floor unless really careful. Padded headboards stuck to wall had long seen better days. Had two angry insect bite marks on leg next day. Beg bugs?

Weekend break in a beautiful part of the country. Lovely pub and friendly staff

3.95/5.0
Nice pub in a beautiful village. Rooms were comfortable and the breakfast really good. Friendly staff. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.
The newly refurbished rooms were nicer. If they upgraded all the rooms it would take the place up another notch. An extra £10 for staying in the nice rooms is not much, but I think the original price is enough.

A friendly hotel in an excellent location.

4.15/5.0
The staff were excellent and very friendly; nothing was too much trouble. Room size was good. Food was pub grub which was fine by us.
Although the room was spacious and there was plenty of room to put suitcases (which is rare), there were no drawers. OK I suppose if staying one night, but we stayed for three and would have liked to unpack a little. The "wardrobe" consisted of a bar hanging from the wall with hangers on. Functional I suppose without taking up space but not good to look at. A tiny point - I missed not having tissues in the room. Most hotels give you a box with five sheets at best but this one didn't have any.

Good breakfast, with lots of choice, Comfortable, roomy room
We were not given the room we had ordered. The room was described as "luxury" and while comfortable was hardly luxurious
