On the Santa Teresa district, just a 20-minute drive from Botafogo Beach in Rio de Janeiro, The Villa Rio offers views of the Corcovado Christ Statue, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Guanabara Bay. La vista es muy bella, el desayuno variado, pudiendo tener la vista hacia el pan de azucar, playa y cristo. Las piezas muy bien cuidadas y modernas. El personal dispuesto ayudarte.
Por lo unico que no lo califico como excelente es por la ubicacion, si bien caminado 10 min puedes tomar algun autobus, cuando no conoces Rio se te complica mucho el trasladarte.

Nice design, great view over Rio at both Corcovado and Sugar Loaf, helpful staff. Value for money was great. Great place for a romantic stay, away from the hassled center and beaches.
Accessibility is a little difficult - located in Santa Teresa, it's far from both beaches and the city center. Uber worked well though and the difficulty of having to come and leave by a cab was well offset by the great view.

Café da manhã apenas de 08:00 ás 10:00, funcionários nada solicitos, ainda me cobraram uma taxa de 10% alegando que seria despesas do booking , porém ao entrar em contato com o booking fui informado que este valor não vai para o aplicativo.

Nao é luxury nem boutique. É pousada!

Tem vista bonita.
A recepção nao é 24h. Fiquei trancada pra fora do quarto sem ninguem pra ajudar. Nao tem restaurante ou qualquer possibilidade de pedir agua ou comida depois das 22h. Os quartos têm cheiro de mofo e infiltração na parede e teto. A agua do chuveiro ia te extremamente quente para gelada, nao tinha meio termo. Impossivel de tomar um banho gostoso. O cafe da manhã é bem meia boca. Nao tinha nem guardanapo pra oferecer, "acabou" me disse a garçonete.

Amei a vista e o atendimento do novo garçom venezuelano (infelizmente não lembro o nome do rapaz) que estava começando naquele dia!
Saí para jantar e na volta fiquei esperando bastante até abrirem a porta, foi desagradável.

A vista era deslumbrante!!!! A cama muito confortavel e o quarto bem limpo!A Sara foi mt atenciosa!Valeu muito a visita ao The Villa!
Faltou agua e demorou para chegar o caminhao pipa que estava vindo de Niteroi e so pudemos tomar banho de manha. Nos ofereceram late check out. O restaurante nao serve nem almoco nem jantar. Apenas cafe da manha.

Quiet area and nice view of the city. Hotel room was nicely decorated.
Staff was barely involved or competent. Shower wasn't working : Boiling or freezy cold water, you choose. Breakfast was the worst of all the breakfasts we had during our journey in Brazil. I believe you can find far better accomodation in Rio and especially in Santa Teresa.

-ruhige Lage mit Sicht auf Rio (Strände, Jesus evt) -etwas abseits von den Touristenorten -mega bequemes Bett -schöner Balkon mit super Aussicht -schöner Pool (leider hatten wir keine zeit diesen zu nutzen) -freundliches, sehr bemühtes und hilfreiches Personal (sprechen meist English und einer sogar Deutsch)
-älteres Hotel daher etwas renovierungsbedürftig (WC-Türe schliesst nicht richtig, der Wasserhahn in der Dusche fällt auseinander ect) -abends war es echt kalt im Raum -24h Rezeption war nicht immer besetzt und manchmal sprachen sie kein English -das Frühstück etwas spärlich -die Wäscherei hatte keine Kapazität mehr -manche Taxis wollen einem nicht zum Hotel bringen (liegt am Berg) oder sie kennen das Hotel nicht

The views from the room, the balcony/terrace, the pool area and the breakfast area are wonderful! The area is quiet. The hotel is relatively small, which means that it is not crowded.
Two mornings there was no hot water for the morning shower. On the website of the hotel there are pictures of a restaurant, but now there was no restaurant/café/bar at the hotel anymore. If one want to have a coffee or a drink one has to go to a restaurant/café a couple of kms away.

The view was brilliant, even more so at night. Zhara, the desk girl was great, super helpful and friendly!
We were unable to fill the spa with hot water, it kept changing back to cold. Bit of a shame.

Fantastic location and views of Rio - guys on reception where very helpful.
Terrible offerings for breakfast and overall a very tired and shabby hotel. More of a B&B than a boutique hotel. Could be some much better as has great potential if a little money was spent on it. Such a shame

The view is speechless, the house is a nice house but would look so much better with appropriate maintenance.
Lack of maintenance of the house, it could be a great botique hotel if only things would look cleaner and good take care of. It seems like there is not budget for repairing damage things, the shower hand opener was broken and it seems it has been like that for long. The breakfast was awful, poor in quality and variety.
