Located on the river banks, Thon Hotel Rotterdam City Centre offers modern accommodation in Rotterdam. Most rooms offer views of the Maas River, the Erasmus Bridge and the Rotterdam skyline. Wer keine Ansprüche hat ist hier gut aufgehoben - lediglich die Lage ist empfehlenswert.

Die Lage ist sehr gut - direkt am Hafen und es sind nur 10 Minuten Fußweg in die große und schöne Innenstadt.
Das Zimmer war sehr klein und sehr eng mit einem Blick direkt in den Innenhof bzw. zu diverden Nachbarfenstern. Das "Bad" war ebenso viel zu klein, zwischen Toilette und Waschbecken waren maximal 40cm Platz und zwischen Dusche und Toilette 30cm. Es wirkte wie eine Abstellkammer. Die Sauberkeit lässt zu Wünschen übrig. Im Bett lagen schwarze und blonde Haare auf dem Kissen und der Matratze bzw. unter der Bettedecke. Das Frühstück war sehr dürftig - keine große Auswahl für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel. Leider hatte das Hotel auch keine eigenen Parkplätze, wobei das Parkhaus lediglich 200m vom Hotel entfernt ist.

the staff and professional service, and much improved menu. We tend to visit at least 3/4 times a year and stay at the THON.
THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT, HOWEVER I BELIEVE THE HOTEL HAS GONE FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH IN RELATION TO IMPROVEMENTS.

Mooie, schone en comfortabele kamer. De minibar had voldoende ruimte voor je eigen boodschappen. Wifi werkte prima. de locatie is prima voor een bezoek aan Rotterdam
Na een eerder bezoek aan dit Hotel keek ik uit naar het mooie uitzicht over de Maas. Helaas kreeg ik een kamer met uitzicht op de brandtrap en aircounits. De bakamer was wel erg klein waardoor je in de wasbak keek wanneer je op het toilet ging zitten. Het ontbijt is vanaf 7u beschikbaar en daarmee voor mij als zakelijke reiziger wat aan de late kant.

Location. The No.7 tram stops right outside the door after a 5/6 minute journey direct from Rotterdam Central Station. The 'Spido' harbour tour boats are a few steps away from the hotel and the Maritime Museum an easy walk. Great views of passing river traffic and the big cruise ships tie up on the opposite bank. I liked the fact that the room had a kettle and makings for tea/coffee. Bed was comfortable and daily cleaning was to a high standard. Bathroom was fine with lots of space in the shower!
The room was much smaller than I expected from pictures.. Although travelling alone I booked for two people, but had that been the case we would have struggled in the small space available around the bed. Wardrobe space was woefully inadequate.for a 4 night stay. Having said that I would stay there again, as I know what to expect next time!

Tolles Hotel in perfekter Lage und teilweise grandioser Aussicht

Super Lage direkt an der schönen Maaspromenade, Spido Hafenrundfahrt und Erasmusbrücke, nicht weit zu Museumshafen und Einkaufsmeile, einige Zimmer sogar direkt mit tollem Blick auf die Neue Maas und ihren Schiffsverkehr. Das Kreuzfahrt Terminal liegt direkt gegenüber. Die Zimmer sind (bis auf das Bad) modern und prima ausgestattet, mit Kühlschrank/Minibar, Teekocher, usw. Auch das Bad ist ok und ausreichend groß. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Frühstück ist teuer, aber sehr gut und reichhaltig. Ein Hinweis noch an alle, die den Stecker im Bad vermissen: In den Niederlanden war das bis vor einiger Zeit ausdrücklich nicht erlaubt. Es müssten also alle Leitungen neu verlegt werden. Da Fön und Licht im Bad vorhanden sind und Elektrorasierer üblicherweise einen Akku haben (meiner hält für drei Wochen), sollte dies aber alles kein wirkliches Problem darstellen. Fazit: Tolles Hotel in 1a Lage, kann man nur empfehlen!
Es gab nichts zu meckern :-)

Gute Anbindung in die Innenstadt . Klimaanlage funktioniert sehr leise.
Betten im Einzelzimmer zu schmal. Madratze ruscht nach jeden umdrehen aus den Bett. Türen besonders am Abend zur Nacht durch Türschloss sehr laut. Frühstück zu teuer.
